Dr. Thomas Edward Wiswell, MD

I met Dr Wiswell in January2004. He was one of my sons doctors in the NICU. My son is alive and well because of Jesus and Dr Wiswell. We were told from Dr Wiswell that our son will never be a runner and we were fine with this, we just wanted our baby boy home. Well our son Andrew is 15 yrs old and is doing great! And guess what?..... ironically our son is a runner lol. Jesus does wonderful work. Linda Rocco

This doctor is unethical... Performing surgery on children without a pathological condition is unethical and a violation of human rights of bodily integrity.

Obsessive preoccupation with circumcision trauma.

It is a shame that a website like this is unable to sort through responses and recognize inappropriate ones such as the anti-circumcision crazies who have commented here. Dr. Wiswell is an internationally recognized neonatal intensivist who has performed landmark work in diverse areas. He has incurred the wrath of anti-circumcision activists over the years because rather than blindly agreeing with their emotive dislike of the procedure, he has actually studied it scientifically. Unfortunately for the "anti's", Dr. Wiswell has actually found strong, abundant evidence for medical advantages of the procedure.

He has performed countless operations without patient consent and does not seem to realize the violation that he has committed on frequent occasions.

This guy has crazy ideas that contradict the official statements from the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Medical Association. I wouldn't trust my parakeet.

Dr. Wiswell continues to promote circumcision despite the danger of bleeding and MRSA infection. Most U.S. pediatricians are coming into the modern age and leaving this barbaric practice behind.
