Dr. Thomas Roy Witt, MD

I had a mastectomy in 1988 a different Dr., who retired immediately after my surgery. I was given Dr. Witt's name and that was in l989. I have been his patient since then. There is no finer... He is compassionate, kind, listens well, all the attributes one wants in a Dr. The only reason I am changing Dr's is because I am having my gynecologist take over my complete care, including my breast exams. I am very sorry not to be seeing Dr. Witt anymore. I have been cancer free since 1988 and Dr. Witt has been very careful in my treatment. There were times that a mammogram and sonogram showed a glitch and he was on top of it immediately with 2 needle biopsies. It is my understand that Dr Witt is scaling back but if you can get an appointment with him, I would. Having said that I did see an associate of his and was very pleased and would recommend this practice, 100%. I will miss seeing Dr. Witt.

Dr. Witt is not an Oncologist, he is a genral surgeon who has a specializes in breast cancer... He is one of the few doctors left that still treat you with kindness and will spend whatever time you need to deal with such an illness such as cancer.

Dr. Witt is my doctor at rush. He made my experience with my illness very comforting. After speaking with him during my initial consultation made me feel ok and that I will be ok. That was 6 years ago and I still have the upmost respect for him and the entire staff at rush .
