Dr. Thomas Edward Zima, DO

I have been a patient of Dr.Zima for over 10 years. He is kind,patient,funny and knowledgeable. He explains everything in clear terms, he cares about his patients and his staff.

Dr Zima advised that I have a complete hysterectomy. He intended on removing everything-abdominally, including appendix. I asked if I could have it done laparoscopically and without explanation-said, no. Dr Zima made a couple comments that I found embarrassing and unnecessary and have since found another doctor. I also had my hysterectomy, and had it completely laparoscopically-with virtually no pain!

I found many great reviews about Dr. Zima, which is why I chose him. I was pregnant with my first baby. Every time I went in for my check-up, I waited at least 45 minutes to an hour before he came in. I would walk by his office where his door was open and I could see him just sitting at his desk talking about current events with interns....while he had patients waiting. My labor and delivery was kind of a nightmare. Unfortunately, I believe he is to blame for the traumatic experience. He seems like he has one foot out the door for retirement and is very non-chalant and on his own schedule. I had to wait an extra 5 hours for an unplanned c-section b/c he doesn't like his dinner plans or his morning routine being ruined. Needless to say if I can stop other soon-to-be moms from experiencing what I did, then my job is done. I highly recommend finding another doctor.

I recently saw Dr. Zima for my yearly GYN appt. Due to my Dad's cancer diagnosis, I had not seen a GYN for 2 years. I was having problems with menopause but couldn't find the time to see a doctor. After things had gotten quite bad, I scheduled an appt., and had probably the most thorough exam ever. I learned that my previous doctor had prescribed the wrong hormone dosages, which made me really miserable. I am now on the correct medication and dosage, and am finally feeling normal! Dr. Zima is a doctor who is easy to trust and his humor makes everything so much easier!

Two and a half years ago, I needed a new GYN fast, and, following my PCM's recommendation, I found Dr. Zima. My health is good (knock on wood) and I only need to see him once a year, but (despite the fact how we generally feel about OB/GYN visits) I look forward to seeing him every time! :-) He is a wonderful doctor and person: he listens, asks questions, educates and makes you laugh. I will definitely recommend this professional to anyone in need of an OB/GYN (or a better OB/GYN).

I am a militray wife with 2 kids. Dr Zima delivered both of mine via C-section (yes i come back home to Michigan just to have Dr Zima as my doc for my pregnancies). He is an amazing doc and really makes you feel comfortable.

I enjoy my visits with Dr Zima. He is kind, caring and has a very funny sense of humor. The staff is professional.

Amazing Doctor and I would recommend him to anyone in need to an OB/GYN.
