Dr. Thor Christian Mathos, DO

Dr. Thor Matho’s is The kindest, most knowledgeable Physician I’ve every been to. He really listens to me.

Dr. Mathos always takes the time to answer my questions and address all my concerns. I love seeing him

I go to the office and get examined by dr Thor Mathis because of jaundice. The next day the office calls me and says go to the er for further testing. Why did he not admit me instead of going through the er ???? I go to the er and they admit . Which to me 6-7 hours to get a room. I call the office to get my blood work which is 5 days later and they tell me he never looked at the results or signed off on them !!! The doctor has not ever contacted me and it’s beeb 2 weeks!!! I will never go there again!!!!! He is one very poor doctor!!!!!

Dr. Mathos is quick to look at lab results, diagnose you on his own , have nurse call in a prescription for you and ....... pharmacy lets you know its ready for pick up. 3 times the doctor ordered over the phone serious medications like Eloquis, Metformin and Allopurinol and my mom had serious allergic reactions to meds and complications. When she went to see Dr. her pulse ox was 80 percent I told her to take some deep breaths and I got it up to 94 percent and then that's the number they documented , when she was clearly short of breath, weak , pale and anxious. Told her to go get blood work done and stop taking Metformin and he'd see her in a few months. She ended up in hospital over the weekend with bilateral blood clots in lungs. My husband was going to him to and he had a list of physical complaints one was blood pressure was extremely high. Dr. ordered 2 medicines my husband told him he had tried and he had side effects and he just said " Well try them again. He is very… resistant to referring to specialists and he will laugh and shake his head at you with your concerns. Think 3 times not just twice about going there!

Excellent, very good Dr, excellent in follow up

Dr. Mathos is the practioner for my whole family. He has always been correct with a diagnosis and I feel very comfortable of his ability to 'call it right'.

I am so happy with my experience with Dr. Mathos! I had gone without Medical Insurance for about 12 years and finally got a job that has pretty good insurance. I went to a doctor about 7 months ago who didn't care to address all of the issues that had accumulated over the years. She just kept saying "You will have to schedule another appointment for all of your other concerns." Dr. Mathos on the other hand listened, offered advice and didn't rush me through and it was getting late in the evening, about 8:45 or so and he still was very patient and attentive. I respect and commend him as I think I was a handful coming in there with a list of issues. The staff was great as well!! I am so relieved to finally have found someone like him. :-)

Terrible attitudes from everyone at Dr Thor Mathos office.Do not go here, DO NOT!!

Dr. Mathos amazes me. He is deeply concerned about his patients and takes all the time needed to come to the right conclusion. If he runs late, he apologizes! If you are in the hospital, even though he didn't put you there, he visits daily, even Sundays! I love this doctor and would recommend him to everyone. Most of his staff in congenial with the exception of one or two. Do not ever complain about the staff or you will have to find another Doctor. I do not believe Dr Mathos knows this policy because I feel he would put an end to it..

I think he is a very smart Doctor, very nice and helpful to his patients. I love the staff at the office and appreciate how kind everyone is.
