Dr. Thornton S Mckinney, MD

He is terrible! My son who was an addict went to him. I called and explained that my son had a terrible addiction and McKinney gave him 45 very addictive drug for two weeks. I called the office explained my son’s addiction and they did not listen . He went back 2 weeks later and he gave him 45 more. My son ended up in a rehab in Florida. Since then my 23 year old son passed away. He should not have a medical license! Stay away! They do not listen and will give your child any drug the patient ask for

Doc has the patience of no other physician that I have had and there has been many. I recommend him to anyone who is hurting and needing a doc that is compassionate as well as educated. If I could give him 10 stars trust me I would not hesitate !! Thank you for giving Doc a chance or thank you for your consideration. He is the truth!

I've been seeing Dr. McKinney for almost 2 years now and he's amazing. He regulates my meds when they need to be changed and is very attentive and makes the correct adjustments when I'm tell him issues that I may have. I don't understand the other reviews. He has an EXCELLENT bedside manor and truly listens to you unlike other doctors I see that just stare at their computers and don't even look at you.

Dr. McKinney is and outstanding Dr and he should be given the benefit of the doubt. Some parents are a in denial about their kids. He takes time with patients and he's a true Amercan.

I would give this man zero stars if I could. He is a terrible doctor. He would not listen to me when I tried to explain that my daughter was a addict and therefore she ended up on the psych. ward. Not ever going back. Highly recommend staying away.

Dr. McKinney should be banned from practicing medicine. He is a drug pusher and does not listen to what the parent has to say. I would never take my pet to this man much less a human being.

He's an okay doc. His staff is inconsiderate and have no social skills OR office etiquette. Too bad because that is 50% of his business. He needs new staff that's of a more professional nature!

Both of my daughters see Dr. McKinney for treatment of their ADHD. Dr. McKinney quickly diagnosed each of my girls and placed them on medication. We saw an immediate difference in school performance, grades, and overall behavior. Dr. McKinney slowly took the dosage up until the girls found their correct dose (which is different for each girl). My daughters adore Dr. McKinney and his office staff. Especially "Miss Julie". They actually ask when can they go back for an appointment! As an RN who specializes in psychiatry, I appreciate Dr. McKinney's cautios attitide toward medication. I highly recommend Dr. McKinney. My husband and I are so thankful for his care of our children.
