Dr. Thuy Kim Nguyen, MD

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! My Dad had an appointment with “DR” Nguyen which was scheduled months in advance as my Dad lives outside the country. “DR” Nguyen completely misdiagnosed my Dad. He just needed a simple cataract surgery. She told him he has Diabetes and refused to do the surgery. We brought his medical records for the appointment which did not show diabetes but she insisted he had it. Didn’t even tell him to go check his A1c again. Nothing! My dad was so traumatized by this diagnosis as he had never heard it before and my Dad does not miss a physical. When we left, the next morning we went for another blood work to confirm and ofcourse A1c was again normal. We saw a primary Dr to confirm. He said he doesn’t know how a so-called ophthalmologist could make such a mistake and not even bother re-confirming. We called “DR” Nguyen’s office to tell them the result and see if we could move forward with the surgery and no one picked up or bothered to call back even after we left a… voicemail. All this to say, this was such a horrible experience with a clearly inexperienced Doctor that clearly does not care about patients or the diagnosis she gives. PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST. This misdiagnosis caused a lot of stress for my dad and of course money because we had to move his flight out and find another Dr to do the surgery. We were lucky to find a great Dr that took care of my Dad with no issues at all and he sees perfectly well with that eye now. As much as I am upset with the way things transpired, I am also happy my Dad did not do the surgery with such inexperienced Dr like Dr Nguyen.

Dr. Nguyen is a great doctor, she is very thorough, careful and precise. I always go there for my yearly check up and she treats you like family.

Very knowledgeable, thorough. Corrected what the optometrist did wrong.

She saved my eyesight when I had sudden onset glaucoma. She is my hero in every sense of the word.

Her attention to detail and holistic health approach is very positive

Dr. Nguyen has diagnosed multiple cases for me that other doctors missed. She is very intelligent and caring. I would recommend her highly to anyone that has an ophthamologic condition
