Dr. Tiffany Khun Hor, MD

Tiffany was the worst doctor I have ever had. She was so condescending and mean to the point that she made me cry. She acted like I was wasting her time. I have never cried at a doctor’s office before. I hope she does better for future patients because I will never forget how terribly she made me feel.

Dr. Hor is a fantastic Dr. I have been under her care for some time now and believe her to be one of the best Doctors I have ever had to deal with in any field. Supremely knowledgeable but also very easy to talk to. She is very clear and takes the time to understand my concerns. You couldn't ask for a finer physician.

I felt she as ok at first but then seemed a bit commanding, not happy with bedside manner.

I had been diagnosed with a rather large tumor on my thyroid. The endocrinologist my doctor referred me to couldn't see me for a month, and this was too long to wait to see someone about a tumor that may or may not be cancerous. I called the endicronology doctors at Rush and got an appointment the next day. Dr. Hor (pronounced "har") was knowledgeable, down to earth, unhurried, took as much time with me as I needed, and was just as concerned with easing my fear as she was with diagnosis and method of treatment. She has a nice way with people. Fine needle aspiration is not a pleasant experience, but she tried to make it as quick and painless as possible.In subsequent weeks I called a couple of times and left a message for her to call me, as I had questions. She always returned the call the same day, although sometimes it was not until 8.30 at night. She returns all calls same day even if it means she works well into the evening. Dr. Hor's nurse assistant, Ann, was also… particularly friendly, helpful, caring and patient-oriented.When I finally decided to go ahead with the surgery the doctor recommended, she set me up with a surgeon specializing in endocrinology (Dr. Kathleen Heiden), and she came to see me in the hospital the morning after my surgery. Rush U. Medical Center is a world class facility, and Dr. Hor is emblematic of Rush's professionalism and patient-oriented approach. Dr. Hor turned out to be a very good choice for my treatment: a kind, caring doctor who is also incredibly smart and will put in whatever hours required to help her patients. Highly recommended.

When I first meet Dr. Hor I thought she was great and very attentive to my problem. However, after three phone calls and two faxes she has not returned my call for blood tests taken 10 days ago. It is sad, but clearly my initial perceptions were very wrong. I will need to find a more responsive endo
