I had a kidney blockage and needed an emergency procedure. Dr. Sotelo did a fantastic job in getting me onto the OR schedule, communicating the process and procedure to me, and giving the best care possible for my situation

Bedside manner needs improvement. She should be more honest especially to people who work with her.

Really knows how to treat patients in all ways. Very caring and very efficient at the same time.

Dr. Sotelo has cared for me for 4 years and I have never met or have been cared for by someone with her abilities as both a doctor and an incredible, caring person. Her staff is also at the top of my list.

Dr. Sotelo is very knowledgeable in her field and all related to urology. She spent a lot of time with me performing tests, explaining condition, answering questions, describing needed procedure and discussing how procedure went and what was found when completed. I highly recommend her.

Sotelo and her office support did a poor job of communicating what would happen during my surgical procedure, or informing me of the step-by-step post-op instructions. Such instructions were just mailed to me after the fact, and were poor photo copies of faxes she received from elsewhere. They could not find time to call prescriptions in to my pharmacy, and excused themselves by telling me that they've had problems with that [nationally known] pharmacy's system before. The office has never returned any of my calls for scheduling appointments--I must find them in the office or appointments do not happen.

I found Dr. Sotelo to be both very professional and personable. She addressed my concerns carefully and made me comfortable talking about personal matters. I recommend her highly.

Dr. Sotelo was very rude to me during my visit. She belittled me, by asking "What did you expect? A magical pill?" when I was visibly upset that she had prescribed physical therapy and life style changes, since I did not believe that this would actually relieve my symptoms. A week later, a nurse from her office called to explain that they had completed an additional test (unknown to me) and that I needed to start taking antibiotics for a bacterial infection.
