Dr. Timothy Michael Manzo, DO

Dr. Manzo treated my ankle sprain and kept the pain associated with the injury to a minimum. His comforting disposition, orthopedic knowledge, and development of a treatment plan eased anxiety making the unplanned visit to the Emergency Room quite pleasant. It is with absolute confidence in his abilities, I highly recommend Dr. Manzo for any emergent need.

I've struggled with health issues for about 4 years. Both heart trouble and other issues that doctor's believe stem from an underlying autoimmune disease. My heart often quits what it's doing by the time I get to the emergency room. At first Dr. Manzo was very kind and listened patiently and took me seriously. By about the 5th visit over around 2-3 years he got stuck on that I would only come in for heart palpitations, no matter what I came for. One time I was sent by my family Doctor because of moderate abdominal pain through to my back. He kept telling me I was there for heart palpitations until I was in tears. All he did was put me on a heart monitor and as he was leaving, I was saying, "My heart is doing fine! You're not going to find anything, it's my abdomen and and back that hurts." he just walked out of the room and wrote on my chart I was there for heart palpitations. The last time I visited, I was waking up multiple times in the night with a very high heart rate of 160+ or… low of 40's with chest and jaw pain. My body wouldn't let me sleep. That obviously wasn't normal and I didn't know what my heart was doing. I was treated this time as a hypochondriac. I was abandoned for nearly 2 hours in a side room with no water and no call button and no one checked on me even once. When I finally saw Dr. Manzo he said "In for heart palpitations again?" I nearly burst into tears immediately realizing he wasn't going to listen again. He said patronizingly "Do you not believe your heart doctor that your just fine and think we're going to find something they didn't?" My heart had been worked up over a year before and that's when they found the benign extra heartbeats. But again that was over a year ago and these were new symptoms I'd never experienced before. Just because I had my heart worked up before doesn't mean it can't ever develop some new problem. As I tried to explain that I hadn't had trouble with palpitations in a long time and what I was actually there for and why I'd been unable to sleep was really high and low heart rate and chest and jaw pain, he just cut me off in the middle of my symptoms list and walked out of the room saying "We'll monitor you for another half hour." I realized this was all useless and called and called for someone and no one came. I finally had to yank on all the monitor chords and walk to the edge of the room to get anyone's attention yelling and tell them I just want to go home. I went home where I got better care and was able to take pain medicine etc. instead of lay isolated with no help.

Dr. Manzo was very courteous, timely aND accurate. And very nice to look at. I would surly recommend him to anyone asking for a dr.
