Dr. Timir Banerjee, MD, FACS

I am deeply disappointed with the care my wife received from Dr. Timir Banerjee following her automobile accident. From the very beginning, it was clear that Dr. Banerjee was not interested in listening to my wife’s explanation of her symptoms. Despite her attempts to point out specific areas of concern on her CT scan, Dr. Banerjee consistently interrupted and over-talked her, showing a complete disregard for her input and concerns. The resident doctor had already noted a back injury on the CT scan, but Dr. Banerjee’s dismissive attitude was particularly troubling. He even made an inappropriate comment, suggesting that since my wife is a realtor, it didn’t matter if she missed work because she “only drove around a fancy car and talked on the phone.” This not only showed a lack of respect but also a fundamental misunderstanding of the physical and emotional toll her job entails, especially when dealing with an injury. After much insistence and despite his initial reluctance, Dr.… Banerjee finally agreed with the resident doctor and ordered an MRI. However, this decision came too late, as our initial appointment with Dr. Banerjee on June 7, 2024, was already over a month after the accident on May 1, 2024. The emergency room discharge report had clearly stated that we needed to see a neurologist within two days. Now, we are forced to wait until July 5, 2024, for the MRI, causing further unnecessary delay and distress. Overall, the lack of professionalism, empathy, and timely care from Dr. Banerjee has been extremely frustrating. We expected a much higher standard of care and consideration, especially given the serious nature of my wife’s injuries. I sincerely hope that this feedback leads to improved communication and patient care practices in the future.

I recently received a copy of my IME from Dr Banerjee. I can only describe it as a fictional tale. The report was disorganized and poorly written. It appeared that he was attempting to confuse the real issues with erroneous information.Most upsetting was the way he attempted to discredit the radiologist who found my problem and the surgeon who attempted to fix my problem so that no further damage would occur. I have had several physicians look at this report and they are appalled that a board certified neurosurgeon would have written such "garbage". There is no such thing as an Independent Medical Exam. It is quite clear that Dr Banerjee was trying to place the blame for my injury on everyoneexcept where it belongs. I was hurt at work and all I wanted was to get better. The insurance co is surely not for the injured worker. Had I been listened to, treated fairly and received appropriate care the insurance co would have saved money.

I was not satisfied with this doctor's service. He was recommended by workman's comp and I felt that his office was very unprofessional. Also, I felt that his main goal was to push me out the door with a medical report that was satisfactory to workman's comp. He had no interest in treating my symptoms nor did he care to have me fully explain the issues that I was experiencing. Also, he tried to discredit other physcians that I had seen for the same problem which were highly recommended and acknowledged in their field. It was obvious that his main concern is workmans comps best interest and not the patient.

I like the good Dr. He speaks good and is very knowledgeable. This was my first visit and I was highly impressed with him and the time he took with me in explaining my prognosis. He appeared to be very honest,patient and candid. He was very polite and allowed me to talk and asked me if I had any more questions.
