Dismissive, avoids questions using glib sense of humor, not very compassionate and rude to patient’s family members. Expectations not met, suggest 30 more years of bedside manner.

AS I AM TERRIBLY AFRAID OF NEEDLES, DR. CARPENTER TOOK EXTRA TIME AND CARE TO EASE MY APPREHENSION AND IT WHEN INSERTING THE IV IT DIDN'T EVEN HURT...PLUS....HE'S FUNNY WHICH IS VERY IMPORTANT TO ME (ESPECIALLY AS I WAS HAVING A TAVR)

I found him to be over-the-top and gushing to the point of insincerity. Just couldnt put my finger on it but I felt uncomfortable, so much so I didnt want to along in the room with him. Wont be in touch again with this doctor.

He had little tolerance for the pain I was suffering from and his overall manner was too smarmy and insincere.

Simply put, he did not measure up to what what I was told about him or read about him. There needs to be some improvement. I will not be seeing him again.

Dr. Carpenter's skill spotted an irregularity in EKG after elective shoulder surgery & resulted in Hoag team of doctors locating a heart artery blockage and fixing it! Without Dr. Carpenter's excellent treatment before, during and after surgery, outcome could have been much different. Pretty much, he was the hero of the day.
