Dr. Timothy Gerald Dickson, MD

Dr. Dickson is a very good listener. It's great to have productive two-way conversations about my medical care. His diagnoses have been spot on.

This office in Lake Orion at St. Joe's hospital and this Doctor are equally a joke. I waited 1.5 hours to see Dr. Dickson for the first time, 45 minutes of which were in the empty room. After the vist and expecting three specific prescriptions refilled which I've had for years, he only filled one and ignored the other two without even telling me he was not going to refill them. His demeanor was best described as aloof and clueless, or perhaps disinterested. He offered no commentary on symptoms related to migraines and sinus issues, and did not seem to even acknowlege anything besides filling out a form. He never even apologized for being 1.5 hours LATE! The staff was not friendly and acted put out when you had questions. The office doesn't even have hand sanitizer and it has a Pediatrics speciality! Worse yet, my wife took our children there and the two month old had to get shots. The one nurse is trying to answer her phone with its ghetto ringtone while spilling the vaccine… all over the baby's face. The other nurse was scared to death to put a needle in the baby and had to do so more than twice because she didn't know to push the fluid in after sticking the child in the leg. It was a DISASTER every time we went into that office. If it matters to anyone reading this, I've never had a problem with any other Doctor or Office that I've had in two other states. This one was HORRIBLE. I would highly recommend to stay away unless your time is of no issue and you like very little interaction from the Drs. Anyone who says this place and Dr Dickson is top notch must be getting some medical marijuana prescribed to them! Watch out!

Dr. Dickson has been my primary care Doctor for over 10 years. He is the best Doctor I have been to and Iâ??ve been to my fair share of Docs. He is very knowledgeable and will spend time to understand your issues and concerns. He will take the time to really listen and make his best diagnosis. Referrals are a breeze with the office staff. Very highly recommended!!!

Dr. Dickson has been my primary care provider for about 10 years. He is caring and professional, listens to your inputs, and works with you to find the care you need when your situation or condition is beyond general care. The referrals he has sent me to have all been excellent.

when i make my appt for dr. dickson my time is just a precious as his...getting into a room doesn't take long, but waiting to see the dr. can turn into an hour long wait. quit double booking patients and stop making your patients wait for medical treatment.

I love Dr. Dickson. I've been going to that practice for approximately 16 years, and he's been MY doctor and our family Pediatrician for 10.5 years. He is kind, courteous, caring and the reason the wait time is so long is because he always spends TIME with his patients. He had a wonderful rapport with his patients big and small. He is as great with my 10 year old as he is with the 7 year old AND the 6 month old - and he's great with me too! I HIGHLY recommend him.

The doctor was nice enough. Came in because of a foot injury. I needed a referral to see a foot specialist. You would think that being a first time patient the doctor, or an office staff member, would explain what the office requires for a referral. No. Instead I took the recommended names and waited at the "check out" area of the office and was told there was nothing more to do. I made an appointment with the recommended foot specialist for a week later. Only after calling back to the doctors office on the Friday morning before the Monday appointment, am I told I need to call the "referral girl" at least 48 hours in advance. There is only one person that knows how to process referrals. I guess no matter the urgency, if she's on vacation, like she is now, nobody else can do it. Not only that she has to do the referral by computer, even though my insurance company informed me the doctor's office could simply call it in. Of course, the referral girl won't be back until Tuesday,… which means I have to make an appointment 48 hours after. I'd be remiss not to add that before my first visit I called to see if I could swap my office visit for my wife who was sick for several days. The desk attendant became needlessly frustrated by it, even though I apologized for the scheduling gynmastics, and at the end of the call she basically hung up after I said thanks.Moral of the story, it doesn't matter how good Doctor Dickson is, if you want a complete OFFICE that is set up in a way that will get you to a specialist as promptly as possible, this is not the office for you.
