Dr. Timothy F Goggins, MD

He treated me like I was a family member to him. Him and his staff were great and continue to give me the support I need. Others who comment negatively are obviously angry with their diagnosis and that isn’t not his fault. He goes above and beyond and does everything needed to help me with this illness

Dr. Goggins was very nice and understanding – he explained everything really well. When I went in to see him I didn’t know that I had cancer. It was a complete surprise to my husband and me. I asked about getting a second opinion and he said most definitely – he was not insulted by it at all, he even gave me the names and contact numbers for several specialists. I went to the UW Madison cancer center and when the specialist asked who I was seeing back home, I told him Dr. Goggins, and the specialist was impressed and said that I was in good hands with Dr. Goggins. Once I started treatment I saw the nurse practitioner and she was very good – answered all my questions and I mean all my questions. If there was any doubt about an issue I was having, she would talk to Dr. Goggins while I was receiving chemo. I am impressed with the staff as well – from the front desk to the scheduler – all have been kind and considerate – providing a warm blanket when needed.

Shame on you and your whole staff. You do not treat people with respect and you are very money hungry. It is very sad how people come to you for a illness that can take there life and you just show no emotion at all. Your a waste of time. You basically don't care. Your making your money so you can look forward to a early retirement. If you have been diagnosed with cancer don't see him. You'll be disappointed.

This place lacks the most needed care for a cancer patients. His manners are terrible . You can ask him a question and he totally ignores you and your family concerns. All he cares about and the clinic is how they can meet their quota for the end month and by how many chemo chairs they can keep filled. They will schedule a patient for chemo when they are in an unstable physical conditon . With all the new treatments out there and comprehensive care for patients, i would definitely do your research and go somewhere else. My family member did not die of cancer it was from lack of care

The American Cancer Society raised quite a bit of money and went to Fox Valley Hemotology and Oncology. I have friends that went there and they too said they are $400-$600. They think some of the money charged goes towards research. Then why are we having all these runs and phone calls to keep donating. I also wonder are we making progress on fighting cancer. It rakes them in a lot of money. Whats the rush. It's funny how decades ago they found cures fo polio and developed vacines and there was no technology. The more technology we have it seems like we just are getting no where. Same goes for cerberal palsy, musclar dystrophy, parkinson's. You may think I'm full of it, but all the money that is keep being spent and raised, where are the cures? All they say is we are getting close, very close. The truth is makes them money, and to be in a profession and treat people like robots is sick.

I have shooken my head many times when I came in for an office visit. You arrive 10-15 minutes prior and there is literally a waiting room full of people. They disregard if you might have other appointments and you kind of worry when you might get out. His dcotor assistant is running around frantically and you can overhear her tell a patient as she enters the room that "I am so sorry that you had to wait an hour." I don't know how many times i have heard the scheduling staff say they are so busy. He is just booked solid. Very frustrating. My caretaker that is good enough on her days off to take me to my appointments complains alot of the waiting and the grueling intense schedule. Very demanding. When you have cancer, not only the person with cancer misses out on life but also the caregiver. Just no respect. My caretaker told me that if she gets cancer, she will just try to live with it and take natural supplements. What a negative experience I am going through.

My experience is you spend more time waiting for an appointment and then when YOU FINALLY GET SEEN it is more like a quick in and out. The scheduling staff joke around a little too much, not very professional, while your sitting there waiting and waiting. When you do get in a room with him, he makes very little eye contact. He sits on one side of the room in a chair just looking at a screen and you sit on the other side. When you tell him about your feeling this or that, is it normal, he just sort of shrugs and more like yeah. No suggestions just more like oh hum. His bedside manner needs improvement. The scheduling staff and the chemo nurses it is good to joke but it continues on and on. Sometimes you just like it a little quieter. Not everybody gets good results. They charge $380 - $680 for an office visit. UNBELIEVABLE.

In the beginning he was caring and concerned. As time goes on, and you do the treatment plan he schedules, you feel less attention is given from him. You can have an appointment and by the time you get to actually see him, it could be 45 min. to an hour. Then he quick looks over your chart, 5 minutes later out the door. You waited all that time and felt like nothing was really done. Does a specialist need to charge $380 for an office visit. If it is a follow-up visit to get you your test results then they charge $500 - $600. You should not have to be charged for your test results. It is called HIPPA. You have access to these notes, results at anytime, even over the computer. You should not have to get charged for this. The scheduling department is also very demanding in making appointments, several months out. If one test is not right, it messes everything up, all the other tests dates and visits. Take it one step or one procedure at a time, find out the results, and… take the next step. Cancer does not follow there schedule. Cancer does what it wants to do. Having all them appointments makes you feel very overwhelmed and it does not help the situation. A person diagnosed with cancer has a black cloud over there head and it affects the other family members as well. If a family member is willing to take a cancer patient to there appointment, please have respect for the both of them, and be on time with your schedule. Instead of remodiling all these hospitals, we need more cancer doctors and a social worker included also maybe on every other visit or once a month to help them get there feelings out. A nutrionist would also be helpful. It's just all medical. The last couple years going to cancer doctors has not been good. Having this for a diagnosis and then basically being treated like a number doesn't really give you the ambition or desire to fight it. I'm sorry, but it is really all about money and getting what they can out of the insurance company. The entire staff and doctors need to be more considerate, and not so demanding. They always say what goes around comes around. They someday might be diagnosed with cancer and find out what it is really like instead of just looking at a chart and having no emotion if you live or die. I will close now because I could go on and on. That entire department needs a total overhaul. It is just sad. Obviously there in it for the money. It is just sad.
