Dr. Timothy C. Hain, MD

Dr. Hain changed my life and I never even saw him in person. I was struggling to treat my severe vestibular migraines. I took the treatment info/suggestions that Dr. Hain put on his website to my local neurologist. Using a treatment plan outlined by Dr. Hain, I went from nearly having to go on disability to being almost symptom free. And all because he made his treatment information publicly available. I cannot say how much this meant to me and my family. The least I can do is leave him a good review here.

I have been a patient of Dr Hain since 2015 and have to express my extreme desperation and disappointment over having my appointment with Dr. Hain canceled. I waited almost 5 months for this very important appointment at his new place at university of Chicago and then a week prior to the appointment, I received a phone call canceling my appointment and dismissing me from the practice and refusing to see me . I had been a longtime patient of Dr. Hain and have severe vestibular issues that require his very specialized expertise . I have not received a adequate explanation for this dismissal and I am dismayed that I waited for over 4 months , only to have me be permanently canceled . I consider this improper physician abandonment at the time of my severe vestibular problems in a field where there are just a few otoneurologists in this country of a very specialized field. I do not believe this treatment I received meets the standard of care of The University of Chicago and of Dr. Hain.

I called the front desk to make an inquiry.I was addressed by a very rude lady named Alice.She hung up on me not only once but twice.I feel very sorry for the owner of this practice as his staff is doing him a severe disservice.

An informative, down to earth expert. What more could you ask for? Well, a miracle maybe, but he is good!

Dr. Hain diagnosed me with two rare neurological diseases on my first visit with him. He was very respectful, and listened carefully to everything I said. He made copies of information about the diagnoses in the office for me to read. Other doctors had not taken my symptoms seriously, but he did, and for that, I am very grateful.

Not that great , would not waste my time

I traveled from out of state to see Dr. Hain. I had seen several other local specialists for my issues related to middle and inner ear. My symptoms were horrible and I was at wits end. Dr. Hain spent a great deal of time with me, his staff is second to none and my experience was amazing. I was able to finally receive help and to start feeling more normal again. He is a genius.

He's a very busy man, but that's because he gets patients from all over the country -- his reputation precedes him. Extremely knowledgeable about virtually every cause of dizziness, balance and hearing disorders. Does diagnostic testing in the clinic. Reads all paperwork/records very thoroughly. Kind, understanding doctor. Runs late but doesn't rush you out the door.

Frustrating experience. No clear cut diagnosis or treatment plan.
