Dr. Timothy G. Havenhill, MD

RUN... from Dr. Havenhill. He did a simple carpal tunnel surgery on my right hand (I'm right handed) and botched it horribly... leaving me with permanent nerve damage, still with me 6 years later with no improvement. It has negatively affected my life in a myriad of ways. His response when he learned he messed up was, "I'm sorry, this seems to happen to the nicest people". I found out from the hospital when I went to retrieve my surgical records, that he was in and out of the operating room in less than 5 minutes. He knew there would be no lawsuit because the hand is not totally disabled. DO NOT LET THIS MAN CUT YOU!!!

Recently moved into DelWebb and needed a good Orto Dr, Dr Havenhill was recommended and I can see why. He is by far one of the best, very professional, listens to your concerns and makes sure all your questions are answered. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a good ortho Dr.

I went with my husband yesterday too see the Dr. He is very arrogant and condescending. He doesn't care nor listens to his patients! I would never recommend him!

He is arrogant and uncaring. He seemed disinterested and made me feel like my complaint wasn't important. I found another hand surgeon who was much nicer and am fine after my surgery.

Dr Havenhill has been my hand specialist now for two years. He is thorough in explaining my needs and is concerned for my joint health. I would recommend him highly. As for follow-up my situation does not require follow-up at this time.

Went to MCO and Dr. Havenhill after seeing two other orthopedics and getting no relief for a work injury involving the use of a sledgehammer. I actually brought in the 20lb sledgehammer to this office for the first visit as a visual aid to help him to diagnose what was causing the symptoms and to see the activity that I was doing at the time. He seemed uninterested but told me to find work that does not involve using my hands. When I masked for clarification of what he meant he said don't do work involving a 20lb sledgehammer. We might be getting somewhere here I thought. During the three visits here I was prescribed two 4 week rounds of therapy to strengthen my hands even though he said they were strong. When the therapist noted pain I was experiencing during the therapy sessions and advised me to limit those activities that caused me pain, he flat out did not agree and told me so at my third visit. Said I need to "work through the pain", that I was "doctor shopping" and that "you… can't just sit inside and watch everyone else do the work". This was said after I told him I stopped doing an activity at home that was irritating the injury causing pain and I asked a family member to finish it. All interesting statements but they did nothing to relieve the pain I was having. Also at this third visit he said he did not know what was causing the pain and wanted to send me to a rhumologist for possible rhumatoid arthritis. Since he had mentioned rhumatoid arthritis at the second visit I had already looked up on the mayo clinics website the symptoms and I have zero symptoms listed there. I stopped going here after the third visit and all his comments. I do not know what else I could have done to help him diagnose the issues. The third and last visit he wrote "tenosynovitis" of hand on the "invoice" (a diagnosis he never discussed with my wife and I) . We parted ways and the staff in the office were rather attitudinal when I was not going to be making another appointment and I stated there is nothing he can do for us. Also after the very first visit I had called the MCO finance department to make sure our personal insurance was paying them and I got attitude and comments from them about what the w/c carrier had to say. Why that mattered I have no idea. I want to pay for your services, I want to deal with the symptoms I am having and need your help, was my thinking. Don't know why this would be so strange. We paid right away what our insurance carrier did not and vowed to never visit these offices again. When I go anywhere else and they cannot find the problem I don't get charged, doctors seem to be the exception. MCO adds attitude, comments and critisisms. Never again. I am getting relief at a chiropractor who is taking the entire arms into account, since it does take entire arms to swing a sledgehammer. Wish I would of gone to the chiropractor first and saved thousands of dollars, many painful days and nights, and lost work time and income. We had wrote to Dr. Havenhill and the staff at MCO and have not heard any response for some time now, so we offer this public review.
