I have had RRMS since 1997. After several years I developed chronic persistent daily migraines exacerbated by weather. I have seen only three neurologists in my life. When my migraines and nerve pain became unmanageable. My regular neuros no longer wanted to treat chronic pain I was referred to Dr Hickey. His staff are like family to me. I are Dr twice a month and if the wait is longer than usual he quickly reschedules me. Best and most compassionate physician I have ever seen!!!!

I went to see Dr. Hickey regarding a troubling MRI. I was given a prompt appointment. The staff is so mice. That is where the goodness ends. He walked in looked at the report and said I didn't have what another doctor from another hospital said I had. He told me that 9 out of 10 people have the same jargon on their MRIs. He also told me I wasn't having symptoms. Now. Dr.Hickey barely made eye contact with either my husband or me, he never did an exam. He never asked IF I was having symptoms; which I am. He has no hospital priveleges. He told me his clinic was an "as needed" clinic and I knew what he offered and to come back as needed. I am a migraine sufferer as well as someone who has had strokes- to have a doctor that doesn't go to a hospital first of all won't for me. Secondly, it sound suspect. How many neurologists don't go into hospitals? I for one will not be returning!
