Dr. Timothy Charles Hlavinka, MD

Unclear and non transparent billing practices you will be charged more than you ever agreed and then dropped for asking why the bill was so high. There is also an apparent affiliation with the lab he makes you use. I liked him until I simply asked why the bill was 50% higher than previously agreed. They were “insulted” and dropped me.

Poor excuse for a Dr. No time, unusually long waits, arguementative. All the 1 Stars are corredt. Did nothing for me BEWARE

I was seen by Dr hlavinka he order xrays and I had them done a week has gone by I called and called office and yet no response. But they were quick to take my money. Still to this day no response from dr nor staff . I'm still in pain. Had to go to emergency room again since I can't get response from this office or Dr. I will file complaint with the Texas medical board n my insurance to the lack of care from this Dr u fell like I was just ignored b y him.

Did something I found abusive to me prior to surgery. Another party witnessed it and hit him. Entered false information into my medical records and was a complete jerk. Never returned over 30 phone calls of mine prior to the incident. Wouldn't return phone class prior to surgery to answer questions. I hate him.

A most serious professional

Dr Hlavinka is a superb urologist. I have been a quadriplegic over 30 years, and Dr Hlavinka has treated me for over 10 years. I trust him implicitly. He takes the time to talk, listen, explain, and get to know his patients. He actually cares. I hope he does not retire as long as I'm alive.

This office and doctor apparently don't bother to read these reviews or simply don't care what we patients (the paying customer) and family members are experiencing. I wish I had found this sites years ago. Fact: over 20 years ago Hlavinka did prostate surgery for cancer on my husband. Did NO follow up radiation or chemo and as a result my husband. Now they tell us it has spread to the lymph nodes in the pelvis. I had ask before why no follow up treatment was done and he sarcastically replied that all the research money goes into breast cancer so there was no research done to show it would work. After TWO YEARS of scan after scan to find where it was, they FINALLY said they found it. He didn't bother to make sure a family member was present when he told my husband, which is customary. He just puked it up at his "routine" visit to collect blood work. What kind of jacked up jerk does that. I came home to find my husband in the garage with tears in his eyes when he said "they found the… cancer". Then when I called to ask some questions, they said he's busy and I can come at his next visit in a month!!! Read the previous reviews!!! I wish we had! DON'T use this doctor. I've receive more compassion and better service from my dogs vet!!! Don't walk away from this place. RUN!!!! (While you can).

excellent service, excellent attitude, very friendly. no complaints.

Very incompetent!! Initially appeared knowledgeable with good suggestions. Dr Hlavinla did not follow up on recommended tests, then made inaccurate treatment suggestions. Additionally, he never returned phone calls after several attempts. His nurse was unable to discuss results. I finally had to physically go into the office and get a copy of results--- NEVER will go back!!!

This doctor is rude and impatient. Gets annoyed if you ask a question. He only spent 3 minutes with me after I had to wait over an hour past my appointment time. Would you want an impatient surgeon performing a delicate invasive procedure on you while under general anesthesia?
