Dr. Timothy J Ismond, DO

Dr Ismond is one of those docs that actually listens to you and then thinks. lots of wheels turning as he juggles decades of symptoms, stories and solutions. If you're a whiner or chronic patient I'm sure he would irritate you because he's likely heard it all and just too nice to be outright rude...but will show you the door if you're trying to self diagnosis your own ailments. He may have saved my life when he told me to quit being stuck on my own theories and let him lead the team for the next cycle. It worked and even though I was bugged when I left, I guess I am now eating crow. Thank you doc.

I have been a patient of Dr Ismond for many years and can recommend him. He has been helpful and interested in my situation. He is always ready to listen and has often given me new approaches to correcting my injuries. I find him to be an excellent Doctor and recommend him highly to anyone.

Dr Ismund needs a refresher course in listening skills and maintaining eye contact with patients. He was continually checking his blackberry while I was attempting to explain my problem. He kept asking if I had tried various medications and seemed to be hoping I would agree to try one of them and allow him to move on to the next patient. Although I have a heart condition, he did no physical exam . It was extremely disconcerting to deal with his lack of eye contact and his eager ness to end the session. Not enough time spent with patients! He ended our appointment by handing me a script for something we had not discussed and telling me my time was up. I was in mid sentence at the time. He shows no signs of caring about patients.

I don't consider 15 minutes to be a reasonable amount of time to spend with a patient. Often patients present with complex or multiple problems which take time and questioning to sort out. There is also very little hands on examination of the patient and very little eye contact during the visit. I found it to be quite disconcerting and rather uncomfortable.

A very pleasant, personable, and skilled physician whose quality of work is a credit to his profession.
