Dr. Timothy Joe Kane, MD

His history is over medicating patients. Not doing appropriate medical monitoring of patients health. As well as being cold and uncaring. I tell people stay away from this dr.!!!

Dr Kane is a great doctor I have known him since 2002 and I have a mental illness and I have never had any problems with him he talks to me about my medicine and ask me how it is working with me thanks for being my doctor your the best

Dr. Kane is the best and he has been the best for my husband and our family. My husband would not be were he is today (home with us his family) if it wasn't for Dr. Kane. He really cares about his patients & their family's. God bless you and your family Dr K. Smays

Timothy Kane Is a physical and mental abuser who has and is destroying my daughter's life and my life. He has directed the temporary guardian not to allow me to visit or talk to my daughter for approximately three years now, will not provide her with the medical and psychological therapy that she needs. She is now three years past due for a mammogram even though I, her mother, had breast cancer in both my breast. He and the temporary guardian have traumatized her and the only medical treatment she has received in three years is when she has had a medical emergency trying to escape from the assistant living facility in Wynesboro, Va. They have traumatized her;' what they have done to my beautiful daughter. Result now, they have made her obese and she is afraid to go anywhere outside the facility and is a young woman of just 47 forced to live with senior citizens at the living facility in Stafford. Va. When she was transferred from the assistant living facility in Wynesboro, Va.… they would not tell me where she was for approximately two months and I lived in terror and had to call the sheriff's office who found her in the living facility in Stafford I feel like I am in North Korea. Will someone please HELP!!!

Dr. Kane may have the credentials but unfortunately he is way too busy with his administrative obligations at Augusta that he does not have the time for his patients or even offer new approaches as he only sees them during the 10-15 minute visit and then he forgets about them. Reschedules appointments several times not even giving the patients preferential hours to make up for his own rescheduling. A patient looks forward to his/her appointment but with Dr. Kane you never know if he is going to have to reschedule your next appointment. The last thing, don't dare to be a few minutes late for he won't see you until his next available appointment. We've had enough of this rescheduled appointments this year. We are looking for a new provider.

Without a doubt the best doctor I've ever had the pleasure of meeting! He is very professional in all he does. Very people oriented! Just a pleasure to be around. I hope I will be able to see him on an outpatient bases after discharge. This world needs more people like him. Augusta Health should be proud to have him as a part of their excellent team!

He is a pill pusher. He has and will knowingly perscribe addicting medications to people with know problems with abuse of drugs and alcohol. His only reasoning for this a poor judgement on his part. STAY AWAY.

Office staff very non-compliant. Unfriendly and uncaring to say the least. Doctor is great, however.

i especially thought very highly and held dr. kane in high regaurd at first. being borderline....lost my relationship,lost my job... and was not nice to his staff during a complete breakdown. i very humbly apologized and thre seemed to be no worries......was NEVER warned not to react that way again. he was sick upon two of my appts which were cancelled. being in an emotional crisis after abandonement. i missed one appt by accident...thought it was the following friday. prior to that NEVER missed an appt, paid for each visit. yesterday was in a panic to rescheduale my appt, staff accused me of being abusive ,when i know i was not. in fact they were unpleasant, upon thinking they hung up on me....i cursed out of frustration. called back and was told i could not have another appt and was terminated as a patient???? what kind of professionalism is that when treating the mentally and emotionally ill???? Was ABANDONDED by my psychiatrist who runs an outpatient program i did well in with… DBT.....treating borderline patients. I was hurt and disappointed. He has not even had the courtesy to return my phone calls. I also take 3 meds that are controlled substances they claim i have a months worth of. that is NOT TRUE. So quite frankly I really dont think he is a doctor who genuinely cares about thier patients.....i have an extensive psych history and he is well aware of that. To be thrown away by your mental health care provider under these circumstances seems highly abusive. i am seeking legal action to find out my rights. what is most disheartening is that i trusted him and liked him and he didnt want to treat me because i am borderline. when i was doing well he was more than happy to treat me, in an emotional crisis he turned his back on me with no regaurd how i might react. VERY DISAPPOINTED AND UNHAPPY> TREATED WITH DISRESPECT AND ABSOLUTELY NO OTHER RESOURCES FOR ME TO TURN TO> i would suggest if you have a history of BPD to stay away from this doctor. he is more worried about his reputation than his patients...in my opinion.

Awesome Doctor and would recommend him to anyone in my family. Friendly office staff and very professional!
