Dr. Timothy Joseph Lamb, MD

I am very disappointed to know that, due to Dr. Lamb's letter to the State, my mom's driver's license was suspended this week. Given that he knows my sisters are very involved in my mom's care, and that one of the few things my mom enjoys doing is driving to mass every day (1.5 miles away), his failure to discuss plans or concerns with my mom or my sisters has created undue stress, hassle, and expense for my mom. It has been my personal and professional experience, given my 30+ years in biotech, that the best physicians are those who listen to their patients and their patient's caregivers. Dr. Lamb appears to lack listening skills, is simply inconsiderate of his patients and their family wishes, or perhaps too busy to care. I expected better communication and care from someone who should know my family, and who graduated from the same faith community, in Brother Rice Highschool, in how to care for seniors in the medical and faith community. I would not recommend him for eldercare.

Dr Lamb has been my internist for a number of years. He's consistent, listens and has provided excellent care.

I called for an appointment and they were able to get me in within three days.

Very nice - feel comfortable with the doctor-does show concern

Dr. Lamb spends time with me, thoroughly answering all my questions. I feel comfortable with him, and never rushed. His front desk staff, for the most part, leaves a lot to be desired. They don't seem to know what they are doing and are not very polite. The clinical staff are nice.

Dr. Lamb's staff is the worst I have ever experienced. No compassion for patients PERIOD!

First...called for a referral and when I asked if I needed an appointment, was told no. When I called Blue cross a week later, I found out they didn't process the referral. When I called to ask why it wasn't processed, they said I needed to see doctor first. When I asked why they hadn't told me that when I called for the referral the first time, they pretty much accused me of lying. Why would I lie about that? Went to see the doctor and the office was a chaotic mess. Tons of patients waiting to see the doctors in a tiny waiting room. Lots of nurses standing around talking to each other ignoring me trying to get someone's attention. Doctor spent all of two minutes with me, was dismissive of my complaint about being told my referral would be processed without an appointment and then charged me $40 co pay. Overall a very annoying experience.

Here is the deal: I saw that Dr for the first time because I had knee pain. After X-rays and MRIs the Dr referred me to a specialist. The issue is that his team never followed up and did not send out the referral to the specialist. After calling multiple times and having the specialist office call as well; the answer we got was "we are busy you need to reschedule your appointment". I was kind of frustrated that I took half a day off for nothing (especially when doing a referral does not take longer than 10 minutes) but I ended up scheduling another appointment a week later assuming it would give his team enough time to deal with the referral paperwork. A week later after multiple follow up calls from me and the specialist (about 20 calls) I ended up going to the specialist's office and signing a waiver because the referral had not been sent yet. Now the real story begins... After that appointment with the specialist, I needed to go through surgery (still waiting for that referral to… get to the specialist). Surgery had to be canceled 2 hours prior because the referral was still not sent and there was no way to get approval from my insurance... I was not only really upset that surgery got cancelled (one more day wasted) but I really felt like there was no support from the team especially when you are already going through the stress of surgery. Starving yourself for nothing and stressing out until the last minute not knowing if you would go through surgery or not. This team just does not care!
