I can never get in for an appointment, and when it is urgent, such as "unable to walk", I am told I need to come in for an appointment to get pain meds. With three herniated vertebrae, pain relief is a chronic issue. When I try to get a refill, he tells his nurse to tell me to take ibuprofen (of course, I take ibuprofen nonstop daily). He has no empathy. I have chronic veinous insufficiency and recently developed a blood clot in my leg after knee surgery. I fainted and was afraid that I would get a pulmonary embolism. After being unable to make an appt with Dr. Lovell for two weeks, I went to in call doctor, then vein doctor, then, finally, Dr. Lovell, who told me I had no blood for in my leg (by then, it was gone), that the pain near my armpit was probably just a muscle spasm, he refused my request for a blood test (considering his many pills I take for my chronic pain, kidney function was a concern). I felt every time I saw him that I was some strange specimen to him. There was a… definite air of condescension, and he couldn't get me out of the room fast enough. A really horrible bedside manner.

Dr. Lovell is an incredible caring Dr. I would highly recommend him to every one I meet. He is a great doctor who took care of me as well as my 3 kids for the last 10 years. Great listening skills, very patient, and is there for you
