Dr. Matway is a very caring and life changing physician who truly cares about his patients and listens to the needs of his patients. I have had back pain for 33 years and I am now a 53 year old male. I have had 3 back surgeries, stem cell treatments and years of pain medicine and epidural shots with numerous other doctors throughout Macomb and Oakland counties without success. I have lived in pain all of these years and struggled with day to day life’s activities and weather changes. I was in a slump and having a tremendous amount of pain and I asked my primary physician for a new doctor and I needed help. He recommended Dr. Matway to me and I made an appointment. Dr. Matway listened to my case and asked if I ever tried a rhizotomy which is a procedure to burn the nerves within the facets of my spine. Dr. Matway has been my doctor for a few years now. He ALWAYS asks me “what’s new” & “how are you doing?” He has given me injections to help with my pain, as well as burnt my nerve endings in my lower back. I can say with out a doubt, he truly cares about his patients wellbeing. I am grateful that he is my pain management doctor. He’s always on schedule and all the girls in the office are 2nd to none!!
