Worst Doctor experience that I have ever had. Dr. Mclaughlin was a referral, and when I showed up for a overdue post op procedure, he told me to come back in two weeks and had not looked at the records that were sent to him. After I had explained to him that I had the understanding that the procedure was scheduled for that day, he insisted that I needed to come back for more visits, and said that "if I didn't like it, then there's the door." Never met a more incompetent and unprofessional doctor. I usually do not leave negative reviews, but I felt I had to share my experience so others don't waste their time and money with this doctor. Would definitely not recommend.

I was a patient of Dr. McLaughlin for several years and each visit was great. Initially, I felt very comfortable with him, his interaction was great and he made sure that I understood his diagnosis and recommendations. I no longer reside in Hawaii so this is the reason why I am no longer his patient. I had surgery done and he was great, making sure that I was okay once the procedure was done and all the follow up appointments were taken care of. The wait time is very minimal during office visits. Mai runs the office and she is the best. Great customer service, very personable and always willing to assist you. Yes, I had his staff call me a couple of times to reschedule my appointments and it was fine. They were very apologetic. Overall, I was always satisfied with him.

This "doctor" Timothy J Mclaughlin is the WORST that I have encountered in my 40yrs! I saw him and he prescribed a nasal spray and scheduled a followup. Then he cancelled the follow up and rescheduled. I had to inform my employer that the appointed was canceled which caused my boss to place me back on schedule Thank fully. Then AGAIN this "doctor" Mclaughlin cancelled my rescheduled appointment with an excuse that he had an emergency surgery (an entire week later ?!). This created a problem with my job after having to have to find a replacement for me on that day then to find out the replacement is not needed. So I told Mclaughlin's office that I don't think I want come back after cancelling my appointment, not once but twice! So I called this "doctor" and left a message that the prescription is no longer working. Then it took him all the way to the following week for him to respond via his receptionist that gave a message of another prescription which was NEVER called in!

We took my elderly mother for an appointment with Dr. McLaughlin to remove some ear wax. He did not take into consideration her age or frailty. He ended up tearing her ear canal. She screamed in pain and her ear started bleeding. He was callous, dismissive with hurried verbal instructions. She left in worse condition than when she arrived. I would NEVER recommend him.

The worst doctor I've been too. Do NOT go to him for your ENT needs. He's only there for the money and will try to get you to pay him as much as possible. Do not sign any of his paperwork as he'll add additional information after you sign. He will try to fast track surgeries by scaring you into completing one, even though they're not necessary or at least double checking if they're needed. When you ask him specifics or different outcomes of the surgery he is extremely dismissive. Says, "I'll explain more later if it's needed." Who doesn't explain to patients possible outcomes to a surgery he's providing? I signed paperwork for a surgery with him only after being told that my ear infection could cause me to have a stroke. Went to another ENT the next day for a second opinion and totally had an opposite experience. No chance of stroke and my ears were clearing up. No ear surgery necessary. I, of course, canceled the surgery with Timothy. Got a bill for $465 after… insurance. I only saw him twice and had a hearing test done with his office. $250 for the canceled surgery a day after I scheduled it, and the rest was for low quality care. I can't stress it more- do not go to this doctor.

When I had a ear infection, he treated it quickly and am so appreciative that I went to him. I’ve continued to see him. He has a dry humor that I get. Always found him taking time to explain whatever issues that I may have.

Read reviews before making an appointment. This doctor did not listen to me. No matter what I said, he had already made up his mind on my diagnosis ... however his diagnosis changed at every visit. Also when he gave a diagnosis, he didn't refer to another provider to treat the condition. I went on my own anyway and every diagnosis was confirmed as wrong. I kept getting worse but he continued to prescribe the same medication even when I said it wasn't working. He made me feel like I was wasting his time for coming back with worsening symptoms. He rushed me at every visit, sometimes starting the session by telling me that he was late for surgery already. He always made me feel like he I was wasting his time with petty concerns even though I eventually ended up in the hospital due to lack of proper treatment. It's hard to believe that he is allowed to practice.

I was referred to Dr. McLaughlin by my PCP. Three scheduled surgeries and three cancellations. I had to rearrange my work schedule, other appointments, and activities to no avail. I had my PCP refer me to someone else. I lead a busy life and my time is just as valuable as everyone else.
