Dr. Timothy Joseph Nickel, MD

I was referred to Dr. Nickel by my out-of-state specialist, who has been treating me for a rare genetic disorder. I needed his help to file for insurance coverage of a vital medication and later to administer the injections. Dr. Nickel failed to grasp the severity of my condition and all the symptoms I am dealing with despite taking handfuls of meds. His staff took a month to file the request for coverage (and under a wrong diagnosis code)! And when it was denied, I was assured that an appeal was filed. In the course of the following 5 weeks(!) I talked to his clinic’s staff, both in person and over the phone and was reassured the appeal was “well underway”, just to find out to my shock that the appeal never existed! Dr. Nickel didn’t deem it worth his time to file it and instructed his staff to lead me on for 5 weeks!!! Because of Dr. Nickel’s lack of professionalism and integrity I am months into waiting for the vital treatment, and not a step closer to getting it than I was… at the beginning.

I've been seeing him, for now, two years and he is an excellent doctor in which I'm thankful for him solving my health problem.

There is not a thing about Dr. Nickel that I dislike. He is trying to find a diagnosis for my symptoms and assured me that he would . I truly believe in him and his staff. I have never been treated any better!
