Highly recommended by this Rn whose daughter suffered from severe scoliosis, great guy, best surgeon.

Dr. Oswald saw my son for back and shoulder pain. It was a very impressive visit. We walked in thinking it was a spine issue. After checking his back, Dr. Oswald checked out his shoulder, which turned out to be the issue. We have moved on to PT and are relieved it was not a bigger problem! The staff in the Atlanta office was kind and our other kids loved the movie room!

My son was born with scoliosis, fused ribs, underdeveloped ribs and later developed kyphosis. His prognosis was poor. Dr Oswald has worked with him for over 8 years with the VEPTR rods and now MAGEC rods. We are thankful for his help, knowing the risks. Thankful for Dr Oswalds' kindness, expertise and help. As with any doctor, there are longer waiting times when others patients have emergencies. In our long history with Dr Oswald, communication has been excellent.

Two of our kids have seen Dr. Oswald (fractured arm and scoliosis. He took his time on both visits and both kids were very comfortable with him.

I was so happy to hear my son was going to have a straight spine.... Now he's gone and i have no explanation as to why my son died in the hospital the day after his "magic" rods surgery. I am devastated and speechless....

Dr.Oswald is very polite ,but he makes promises he can't keep. My daughter had surgery 14 yrs ago for scoliosis.she got a bacteria infection 2 weeks later .first surgery took 9 hours the second surgery took 8 and she started to lean to that same side again. Not thinking about what was happening, me as a mother just thinking that's the best it's going to be. 5 yrs ago she start having pain but by her being a young adult with 2 kids I got off of her. Now still in pain me begging her to go to the doctor .she finally went her xrays had her in tears again. One rod is straight on one side and on the other side it's completely bent.The pain that's she's hiding I can't imagine. Read the article about the tools that were put into their patients. Think twice before having the surgery. ReadRead everything and I'm trying to see if it is too late to sue. Surgery gone wrong.

We have taken all of our kids to Dr. Oswald over the years from a scoliosis second opinion to broken bones and sports injuries. He is caring and attentive with our kids, who all like him very much. We trust him and highly recommend him.

Six years ago, my daughter underwent spinal fusion surgery for scoliosis with Dr Oswald. He barely met with us but was quick to say that he would be able to help her tremendously. Now in her twenties, my daughter has constant pain either from bursitis at point along her back or horrible lower back pain that has incapacitated her. She gave up her dream of being a surgeon because she can't stand for that long. She is an MD but faces chronic pain the rest of her life. Remember that surgeons want to do surgery!

It took multiple attempts to book an appointment. Despite showing up 10 minutes early to our appointment, we waited an hour to be seen. It appears that the office follows a first come first serve policy for seeing patients which makes one wonder why they have appointments. Be sure to know the exact details of your insurance policy as they "... are unable to keep up with all of the different types.." Their procedures/policies regarding the same type of insurance appears to vary between visits.

Excellent surgeon......the very best. But I urge you to think before you take this route. He promised this would stop the pain, he downplayed the pain and recovery time. Now that I am fully recovered but suffer from pain worse than before the surgery, he is not any help at all. He is a surgeon and wants to do surgery........but is that the right choice? It wasn't for me!
