Never can talk to a person when calling his office -I left 4 msg. for 4 days, never got back to me-really frustrating.When he does see you in his office - he doesn't remember you, even after looking at your chart. Looking for new Dr.

I was a patient of Dr. Sharrold for about 3 years. He administered a stess test on me. It was clear that Dr. Sharrold did not read my test results before I came for a visit the last time. While having a routine yearly physical, he told me that I was a normal, healthy woman. Then, he looked at the stress test result while I was there and told me that I had a blocked carotid artery. I asked him what I could do about it, and he said I could wait until it is 80 to 90% blocked and have heart surgery. He told me though that my chances of living till that time were not great because I would probably die of a heart attack or stroke before that time. He said all this in a very nonchalant manner, like it was no big deal. I left his office deflated and depressed. Needless to say, I immediately went to a cardiologist who tested me with the very latest scanning equipment. The cardiologist told me that I do not have a blocked carotid artery. I stopped being a patient of Dr. Sharrold after that… incident.

a call to his office goes directly to voice mail--ridiculous weeks to get a copy of the patient medical records days to get a RX re-filled just a bad dr

recommended by friend with little medical knowledge or experience...Dr. failed to notify family, tell hospital of current medications, when admitted to hospital in an emergency...almost cost my life! I've found another doctor.

Dr Scharold is a very professional friendly doctor.

My father has Alzheimer's. My mother only speaks French and very little English. Nevertheless, Dr. Scharold's office continued to call them to make appointments instead of me (their daughter w/durable POA) after being told numerous times not to. I asked Dr. Scharold to do the paperwork for DNR status for my father in January. It is now mid-July and he has neglected to do it. It's impossible for me to speak with Dr. Scharold and messages left on his nurse's answering machine do not get answered until 4 or messages have been recorded. When I accompanied my parents for a check-up, it was obvious that Dr. Scharold had no idea who they were, what their medical issues were or what medications they were on. The office has a suite available for use by pharmaceutical sales people; that also gave me a negative impression.
