Dr Shelton provides me with RFA, radio frequency ablation, to treat severe back and knee pain. He is skillful and a consummate professional in the area of alternative pain intervention.

I will NEVER go to another doc for my pain management but Dr. Timothy L. Shelton! If you want a PM doc that truly cares, doesn't just dispense pills without trying to solve the issue, doesn't push surgery or costly procedures that don't work and isn't just after your $$$, make an appointment NOW with Dr. Shelton! That man has truly blessed hands and a caring heart for all! I have been his patient now for 8 years and actually have a LIFE thanks to him. When I saw him the 1st time, I could hardly stand, was in CONSTANT never ceasing pain and had just gotten married. He gave me my life back so I could actually DO things again for myself and with my beloved hubby & son and for that I will be forever grateful to him! I told him I wanted to put off surgery for as long as I could and he agreed. With that being said, the procedures he recommended have given me relief for an extended period of time so I could enjoy life again. When something wears off, we work together to find a new solution… other than surgery. I trust his judgement 100% and he has NEVER steered me wrong. What I love about him is that he constantly researches new treatments that could help his patients, gives you natural & holistic remedies to help you along with traditional medications and above all, doesn't give up on you. His staff is awesome and try to get everyone in and out so you don't spend HOURS in the waiting room, will assist you with insurance issues plus are always pleasant and nice to deal with considering the many attitudes and personalities THEY deal with on a regular basis. Dr. Shelton is a REAL doctor that desires to make you better and not suffer with pain. He’s a doctor you can be real with because he’s real. I was very sick with bronchitis and had no time to be down because I was taking care of my family and he helped me get better so I could continue to work. If all doctors cared like this man, the world would be a better place.

Dr Shelton eased my back pain from the minute I walked out of his office and it stayed eased for almost a year. Great guy, easy to talk to, gentle, caring and knows what he is doing.

Dr. Shelton has done more, in the past two years, to help me deal with my pain than any of the other doctors I have seen for the same condition since 1996. I have been subjected to epidurals every month for as long as I could tolerate them. Then I would tell the Dr. - no more - I've had enough, move on and find another, only to find the procedure repeated again and again, along with too much pain medications. Dr. Shelton has done procedures that lasts for 6 months and the pain medications required are half Sa what I had been required to take. He is personable, caring and very patient oriented. I would recommend Dr. Shelton to any member of my family. I personally like to keep up with his web cite to keep abreast of any changes in location I may not be aware of. Excellent Doctor. Would travel if necessary to be able to keep his as my doctor.

If you've dealt with a great amount of pain for a long period of time, you know it is very difficult to try a new doctor. My husband urged me repeatedly to try this doctor who had helped him once when his back went out. I've used a specialist in Atlanta that was known to be so good that I saw a Braves' player in his office. I've used a new guy over by Woodlawn Commons in Marietta. Neither came close to the dignity shown me at Shelton's office and by him personally. More importantly, he nailed it the first time--out of pain, just like that, with the first injection. Try once more if you are in pain -- I think you'll like Shelton. P.S. I put 5 minutes as the wait time because that is what it was, but I hate that question. I hate the doctor that caters to that question instead of the patient. I'd have waited two hours for that kind of help.

Dr Shelton listens to his patients, and really seems to understand their needs. I have not seen him at this practice yet, but he was an excellent physician at a former employer. I am going to see if I can't get an appointment over there, as it seems like since his departure, my level of care has gone downhill. I will not mention the name of his competitor, because that is not the right thing to do, and technically I am still under their care. I strongly recommend Dr. Shelton.
