Dr. Sloan grew up in Dallas but has long ties to the Kaufman area. Both of his parents are from Kaufman and are graduates of Kaufman High School, as are his two children, Shelby and Connor. In 1978, he graduated from Abilene Christian University with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology. He then went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S) degree in 1982 from the University of Texas Health Science Center Dental Branch in Houston. After graduation, he and his wife, Raleen, returned to Kaufman to start their family and opened a new dental office to serve the people of Kaufman. Dr. Sloan is a member of the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, and the North Texas Dental Society. He and Raleen are active in their church. They also enjoy traveling and discovering new places.
