Dr. Timothy Cameron Steenhoff, DO

Dislocated my hip after a total joint replacement—popped right out of the joint. Went to nearest hospital ortho dept. but was in so much pain they had me wheeled directly to the ER in case the hip ball needed to popped back into the socket under sedation. Dr. Steenhoff was utterly disrespectful, arrogant and obnoxious as could be. He indicated I was a waste of his time and refused to treat me—thought I was “faking” it (despite my bawling from excruciating pain). He then told me to just go home. When I said I couldn’t—I live alone and literally couldn’t even walk out to my car, he asked if maybe he should then just admit me to a nursing home (I’m 65)! Little did he know I was an administrator at the university where he worked. I finally found an aide to push my wheelchair across campus to my car and reported him to the president within the hour when I had to call in sick. He never examined me, never tried moving my joint, never asked me any questions. I previously had worked in health… care for 25+ years and was absolutely appalled by his arrogance and utter lack of regard for a patient. Honestly, RUN from this doctor. He should be fired.
