Dr. Timothy Sumner attended Virginia Tech for two years and then transferred to Medical College of Virginia of V.C.U. Pharmacy School where he graduated in 1974 with a B.S. Pharmacy degree. After practicing pharmacy for three years, he enrolled in Medical College of Virginia of V.C.U. Dental School where he graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree in 1981.  Dr. Sumner has practiced dentistry in and around the Northern Virginia area (mostly in Prince William County) since that time. He is married to his wife, Jane, who is the Information Technology Coordinator for Battlefield High School in Haymarket, Virginia. They have two children. Son Jonathan is a graduate of the University of Richmond and is a captain in the U.S. Army, stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Daughter Lydia is a graduate of Virginia Tech and is enrolled in the Doctor of Dental Surgery program at the Medical College of Virginia of V.C.U.; Lydia will graduate with her D.D.S degree …in 2013. The Sumners reside in Manassas.
