Dr. Timothy Dale Trapp, MD

Dr. Timothy Trapp works at the Metropolitan Dention Center in Albuquerque. He has been sued by inmates for inaducate care more than once. He has the ability to prescribe Subutex and Suboxone but does not believe addicts should ever be given benzodiazepines. He has denied every patient at the Methadone clinic a raise in their dose to manage their symptoms even if the benzodiazepines were prescribed by a physician and there is no proof of abuse. He is not a compassionate man. He has sought employment in settings that require the least amount of work for the most gain. He has three jobs known and may have more. He works for the jail, a for-profit methadone chain, and has a family practice in Rio Rancho. I would warn anyone who uses him as their doctor that he has documented cases of refusing care to inmates resulting in life long medical problems. He is bring sued for failing to diagnose a heart infection in one woman who now has life long heart problems because of the delay in her care.… His justification was that if she had not been arrested, she would not have been in a situation where her medical problems were ignored by him. I was a patient off Dr Trapp for 6 months and only had 1 visit with him. I scjeduled 4 appointments and every time I went his Secretary cancelled my appointment without trying to call me first. Dr. Trapp is unprofessional and very unorganized.
