Dr. Timothy John Vanderkwaak, MD

Dr. Vanderkwaak is definitely the physician you want on your side if you ever have need of a gynecological surgeon. He spent 9 1/2 hours operating on me AFTER he did two other operations that same day. He did not stop until he removed everything he could see or feel that was cancerous. Then he was at my bedside early the next morning. I know that 95% of physicians would not have the energy to do this for their patients and I can't thank him and his team enough for their heroic efforts. I would not want anyone else handling my care. His entire staff, his partners and the residents who work with him are all amazing. I am so thankful that he is training the next generation because they are learning from the best. I really don't know where he gets his energy to do everything he does! A truly spiritual and caring individual.

WOW this doctor is one in a million!!! I have seen docs all over this state and even at MD Anderson and nothing and no one is like this doc. He will call you and talk to you on the phone with results from your path on a FRIDAY NIGHT AT 6:30PM!?? Who do you know that does this.? I don't think he sleeps. He takes his time and is very responsive to requests/questions. I honestly don't know how he does it all. He is a man of the cloth and will pray with you if you so wish it. I am currently fighting cancer and I don't know if I will win or lose but this is the type of doc you want on your journey. He is trying his best to help me and is compassionated which is everything to me at this point. I can not say enough about this doctor. Oh and his nurse Kendra is like a superstar!! She is clam and detailed and knows her stuff. They are the dream team!! ps I am driving from Charlotte to be his patient. Which is 2 hours away, so I kid you not he is that good.

Very dissatisfied with this physician and his lack of care for my mother. He never visited her room. His “staff” did. No one in his employ are proactive. We are going elsewhere. I recommend you do too.

Dr, Vanderquaak is exceptional and I am blessed to have him as my GYN oncologist. He has the rare combination of skill, knowledge, kindness, compassion, and faith. HIs expertise has kept me well despite having stage 4 cancer.

Dr. Vanderkwaak is amazing. He is kind, courteous, caring, thorough, and an excellent surgeon and oncologist. He is very knowledgeable, with a very high level of expertise in the field. He maintains a positive attitude and offers hope, but doesn't try to sugarcoat things either. He is very reassuring, which makes hard things easier to hear. I also appreciate his willingness to pray with my mom before surgery. With my mom's rare and aggressive cancer, I would not want anyone else treating her. We are really blessed to have this this expert in Western Carolina.
