Dr. Timothy P Walbridge, MD

When my mother was first admitted for recovery after brain cancer diagnosis and treatment, along with a broken ankle, Dr. Walbridge took his first opportunity with her to tell her she was only really there to be comfortable until the end. He had not seen any results from her cancer treatment, as scans had not yet been performed, nor had he consulted with her oncologists, who had given her a good prognosis for recovery prior to her discharge; she was in the facility to recover from the break, not from the cancer. He terrified my mother. He took my discussion with him over his poor bedside manner as an attack. Before Mom was discharged from the facility, she developed a persistent, wet cough - even though it was observed by the facility staff, he never appeared to check her out and see what this was, and 10 days later, she was back in the hospital with potential pneumonia and arrhythmia. After treatment for a week, she was discharged back to the facility, and 3 days later, he has come to… check on her and informed her that nothing was done before because she didn't ask him to check on her, and that the medications the hospital listed on her current discharge papers to be taken "as needed" means that those, too, she has to ask for - he believes they aren't to be given to her for her condition based on observation by the facility nursing staff, but only if she asks for them. This, in short, makes Dr. Walbridge a drug dealer, not a doctor, doling out prescription medications to customers only if asked.

He is treating my aunt who is in rehab temporarily for knee replacement and subsequent injuries. Came in and told her she’s an old woman and likely won’t leave, people her age end up sick and staying or dying. That she could get pneumonia and would she want him to resuscitate her. I mean yes, give a gal a chance! Or she could end up worse. She loves the rehab staff but I’m worried about him as her doctor. And I’m angry at his callousness- wow. She’s an alert, intellectually intact and oriented 67 year old. He pretty much has written her off as old, decrepit and not long for this world. Well she has a family and they/we are not happy with him.

Worst doctor I have ever dealt with.

Dr. Walbridge (Dr W) is a Housecall Physician specializing in Geriatrics. He is my sister's doctor and visits one time monthly. My sister has a group of chronic ailments as well as Hydrocephalus. He has looked at each ailment on a separate basis unlike other doctors who have written her off and attribute everything to her Hydrocephalus. He is conscientious in his prescribing meds for her and most of all he listens to me as she has lost her ability to speak, and acknowledges the information I give him regarding my sister's status as I am her full time primary caregiver. He has access to other mobile doctors and technicians to provide additional services for his patients, i.e. mobile x-ray, dentists, podiatrists, etc. I know when to expect his visits and on rare occasions he is "late" because he has spent the necessary time with a patient who had a problem that needed to be addressed. When this occurs he will call and advise of need to be a little later than expected. His… Nurse accompanies him on his house call visits and she provides the same services and assistance as an office nurse (vitals, blood draws, innoculations, etc.I highly recommend Dr Walbridge for patients who are non-ambulatory and/or have chronic conditions.

I would recommend him.

He goes to your home, but is extremely difficult to get in contact with.
