Dr. Timothy Gerard Woods, MD

I am deeply disappointed in the way Dr. Timothy Woods and his office have handled my mother’s passing. My mom died on May 5, 2026, and we have been trying for weeks to obtain her death certificate from Dr. Woods so we can take care of necessary arrangements. Despite repeated attempts to contact him and his office, there has been no response and no sense of urgency or basic compassion. During an already painful time, this lack of communication and failure to provide such an essential document has added unnecessary stress and heartache for our family. In my experience, this is not how a doctor who truly cares for patients and their families behaves, and I would urge others to keep this in mind when choosing a physician.

Having an excellent doctor for myself and my family has Always been a top priority for me. Doctor Woods definitely fits the bill. He is down to earth, speaks my language (as far as explaining things thoroughly) and his matter of fact approach is refreshing! He takes his time during your visit and is thorough every time. Another plus is that the lab for any blood tests you need is in the same building AND he has a clinic for his patients in the building so if you have a last minute illness and cant get in to see Dr Woods, you can be seen in his clinic and everything is reported to him. My Mother is 86 and she is a new patient of his and my son has been a patient of his for a while as I have. We are all Extremely happy patients of Dr Woods and consider ourselves very fortunate to have found him!

Im fortunate to have Dr Woods as my doctor . Has always treated all my medical problems and has taken his time with me I don't like to longggg wait times on the phone to schedule an appointment. It is a little ridiculous.i don't like nurses answering my questions on the patient portal . although I have had great experiences with the walk in clinic nurses , the receptionists have a lot to be desired. The older lady is the worse No hi no bye nothing .But is watching another staffs children in a room in the back .You are working with people that aren't feeling well so how about show some consideration and smile and be friendly .

Talks but not interested in listening

After my doctor of many years retired, I needed a new doctor .I found Dr.Woods ! I remember he was one of the doctors my mom had seen when she was a patient at AAMC. I find him to be very knowledgeable of everything I have seen me for .He is straight forward but I like that about him .I value his opinions and knowledge of all my medical questions .

Dr. Woods is very hands on. Within 15 mins of being in his presence he provided a solution for a medical issue that I was dealing with for months. He is the best primary doctor that I have ever had.

He is arrogant and unsensitive, He has a horrible and uncaring bedside manner with family members of patients...He thinks he can play God.. on important decisions with patients...he gives no hope to certain elderly patients that may be terminal... he is not recommended if you want a doctor caring for your loved one....

Dr.wood was very informative and displayed a great bedside manner. He was very well versed in the different symptoms relating to our emergency room experience. Made a difficult day a little day
