Dr. Tina Gaylouise Pickett Baisden, MD

I miss Dr. Pickett Baisden, oh my, I wish I could find her. She was so good she took of me and my sons. Is she in Michigan, I will go anywhere in Michigan!!!!!!!

I went to her for a rash that just wasn't going away, no matter what I used. The nurse I saw before she came in was helpful, tho they once again had all of my info. in their computer system about me totally wrong, such as allergies. I have found almost all of the Henry Ford doctors I have seen to be very POOR. So by standing across the room, not putting on gloves or even coming near me, she diagnosed what was supposedly wrong. She prescribed a cream at the lowest dosage possible, it was Hydrocortisone cream. Well I had brought the creams in that I had been using before I saw her, one was Hydrocortisone, and had told her these didn't work. She chastised me for using Neosporin. Got the Hydrocortisone, to no surprise, it didn't work at all. Still had the rash, for a while, didn't know what to do, definitely not go back and see her. I went to my PCP, who has consistently been just the worst at diagnosing anything. She said the medication I was prescribed was for Bacteria, but… my Rash was Fungal!!! So she had totally prescribed me the wrong kind of medication for the wrong type of rash. Makes total sense since her ONLY specialty is Dermatology! How terrible. My rash cleared up in a week when I got the script to treat a Fungal infection. I'd never go back to her. She spent maybe 2 minutes in the room with me, after waiting 30 minutes to see her. Acted like she was in some kind of a hurry, as if I was taking time away from her busy schedule. Never again.

Dr. Baisden did everything thing I needed done and all with a warmth and bedside manner that would make it easy to come back but I don't have to because what she recommended solved my skin issue.

The receptionist was very rude. And Dr. Baisden was unfriendly and very cold during my first visit. But I assumed everyone is entitled to a bad day so I decided to keep my next appointment. But the receptionist was still rude and Dr. Baisden was still, impatient, unfriendly, rude, and just a nasty individual. The medical assistant was nice during both visits. The wait was short I guess because she does not have many patients.

My experience with this dermatologist has been quite terrible. I went to her for an acne problem after my doctor had recommended i go see her. From my experience the receptionist is impatient, uninformed, and all around difficult to speak with. The doctor herself doesn't really spend a lot of time with the patient and is obvious that her mind is somewhere else, i understand that she may have other patients but it's somewhat rude i am paying her after all. She also forgot to give me one of the main prescriptions that i was suppose to take post visit. I'll never see her again nor will i recommend anyone visit her. I wish i saw these reviews prior to doing business with her.

She is an awful doctor. She is rude, spends no time with patients and has no idea what she is doing.

I just left my appointment with Dr. Pickett and while I liked her, the extremely rude receptionist ruined the visit. She not only greeted me with a terrible attitude but she had the nerve to snatch a pen out of my hand! Who does that in a place of business? It is unfortunate that Dr. Pickett has such people working in her office. I almost dont even want to return. Other than this encounter my visit was for the most part very pleasant.

Her office is more like a strip club joint, where you have to first pay your deductibles to get in to see her. When questioned and indicated that this practice is disrespectful to patience, she responded that there are people who do not pay while leaving. Come on....To avoid losing 15-20 dollars here and there she choose to be disrespectful to her patience. Yet, when it comes to bill, she again charged me for a previous visit I had already paid for and to make it worse, she still kept on sending bill for the deductibles I had already paid. Staff is very unprofessional. When I called about it, the lady on phone started yelling at me and would not let me finish my sentence and then hung the phone on me.She is particular about her "pay first as you enter" policy but then has no qualms about double dipping by sending the bill for a visit already paid for hoping that the patients will not notice it. Even cheap Chinese eateries are superior, more respectful and more trusting of you in that… you pay there only after eating. Avoid her like the AIDS virus. In her attitude about making money (and her business ethics) she is not a doctor but more like a strip club owner.
