Dr. Tina Upendra Shah, MD

Run (don't walk) away from this physician. She consulted with a family member while he was in the hospital then he saw her in her office once he was released. She was abrupt and dismissive when we had questions and actively kept records (including test results) from other physicians even when they were requested. She did not respond when test results indicated his condition had worsened and he went 3 weeks without treatment for a condition that should be treated aggressively. She argued on the phone with one of his doctors in the office in our presence and was abrupt and rude with him when he asked for medical records. We have cancelled all future appointments and will be reporting her to the appropriate State Boards.

Front desk does answer phones and take 1 to 2 days to return calls. Dr Shah is preoccupied and always in a hurry. Inadequate care and or follow-up.

I have psoriatic arthritis. She healed me. She answered all my questions. Leaving a review because my husband and I were very impressed. Not often you meet a doc that listens and cares. Hope she is my doctor for many years to come.

I have no idea how anyone could write an outstanding review about this doctor. It was one of the worst appointments I’ve ever experienced. Either the positive reviews are not real or she has 2 personalities. And now after I was told a Vitamin D blood test there would be around $65 the lab is after me for $320! This nightmare keeps on going. Terrible experience to the point I’m wondering why anyone would go back. No empathy, no help except to take lots of Tylenol as she ran out the door when I was trying to ask her what to do for excruciating pain. Questions aren’t allowed.

Doctor Shah refused to see my son. Her office “rules” are at odds with a patient focused approach. We arrived 15 minutes ahead of the appointment time and were refused because she wanted us to be there 45 minutes ahead of the appointment, that makes no sense, there was ample time to complete paperwork. For sure we would have been kept waiting. There was no compassion what so ever for our situation, my son deferred going back to college for this appointment, I took the day off work. Basically we were penalized for the Doctors ineffective time management (she was 2 patients behind). We are back to square one looking for another Rheumatologist. I hope this feedback makes Dr Shah and her office staff review their patient unfriendly customer service. While you are at it, I advise you drop the vibrating pen, it was suggested that we couldn’t complete the paperwork because the pen was not available.

Office staff is awesome! Dr Shah took the time to explain everything, gave me options and helped me with financial assistance. The office staff is wonderful! Everyone from the front desk to the lab. I really wish I could take Dr Shah’s nurse with me to every doctor appointment I have. She is very proactive and answers questions I would never dream to ask. Everyone is so informed here! I’m very happy with the whole office! While it sucks to admit that you are sick at least you know there are so many wonderful people who are your cheerleaders!

I been having symptoms for about 6 months and finally got a appointment with her which took over 3 months to book, in that time i was in a lot of pain and weakness, first apointment the nurse asked what was wrong and check my heartbeat and then Dr.Shah came in and without asking me any questions she put in for blood work, in and out in 15 mins with no knowledge what there checking for , and said see me in 2 months, well i called the next week and left messages trying to see if the result were good, and finally after 2 weeks i got a hold of her nurse, she said they were "unremarkable" however when i came back she said That one of my blood tests were abnormal which freaked me out, but couldn't explain why it was abnormal and told me i would be fine and see her in 3 months, now i visit hurt and told her my symptoms have worsened and she basically said it is anxiety and go to your PC for a referral to elsewhere, now i'm back to square one with pains all over and hard to breath, gave her… 2 stars because the follow up visits were actually on time but really wanting to fix what is wrong with me, and now i'm sure my PC will not be able to figure it out so i will have to get another referral to someone else.

Had two appts..she didn't even touch me but my records said she gave me a physical. Second visit she was typing the entire time. Found out a year later I had abnormal blood work and she never called to tell me I needed to see a hematologist.
