Tina Sonkowsky, OTRL

Tina Sonkowsky is an occupational therapist at Essentia Health who treats individuals across the lifespan. She has worked in rural health for many years and provides occupational therapy services through inpatient, outpatient, home health, and telehealth care. Tina helps patients improve independence, safety, and quality of life by focusing on the daily activities that matter most to them. Her areas of interest include upper extremity conditions, ADLs (daily self-care tasks), IADLs (home and community management tasks), memory, attention, problem-solving, health management, leisure skills, equipment use, and social participation. She creates personalized plans that may include adaptive equipment training, environmental modifications, cognitive interventions, therapeutic activities, and upper extremity orthotic fabrication and management. Tina has been certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy from 1992 to the present. She earned her Post-Professional …Doctor of Occupational Therapy from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in Provo, Utah, in 2014. She also holds a Master of Occupational Therapy from Texas Woman's University, earned in 1992, and a Bachelor of Arts from St. Mary's College in Winona, Minnesota, earned in 1989.
