Dr. Tinyee Tsai Chang

My wife and I had our appointment at the same time. Dr. Chang walked into the room with her scorekeeper, picked up her liquid nitrogen, said "who's first" and started spraying on my wife's arms before asking why we were even there. She took about five minutes with my wife then started on me...another five minutes. Then, as she was leaving, suggested that we needed her TLC cream to keep "this" (whatever "this" was) from reoccurring. The 'TLC cream' is some generic cream that would cost maybe $8-$10 at Safeway to which a transparent 'TLC' label has been applied and for which she charges $51. If you have a dermatological problem, I would advise going to a REAL dermatologist that actually cares about his/her patients.

Thank you for you expertise in ridding me of the issue on my nose and other parts of me. As you stated I made an appointment to come back in for you to check my nose again toward the end of this month. Also one of you suggestions was I might benefit from having treatment for actinic keratoses at that time. Curious what happens in that treatment process, I picked up a brochure in your office on the treatment, Levulan Kerastick and BLU-U. After reading it and looking at the pictures I got more curious. I got on line and did a bit more research. I know you are the doctor and I was in my former life only a ditch digger and a mother, but how do you know that what I have is actinic keratoses and not just skin discoloration? And if you do this treatment does it take away the dark spots whether or not it is actinic keratoses or just skin discoloration? Is there a test to determine for sure what this is? I also noticed that in the directions under dosage and administration it says… that the blu light therapy be administered on later than 14 to 18 hours after the Kavulan Kerastick topical solution and my follow up appointment is in two months. Will that make a difference?
