Dr. Tiong Hian Pouw, MD

Dr. Pouw is an extremely intelligent and diligent doctor. Many of his patients are doctors themselves(like me) and he really could be titled, "The Doctors Doctor". He understands the unique and challenging aspects of caring for a healthcare professional. He is very accommodating, caring, and he has a great sense of humor. He has dedicated his entire adult life to caring for and maintaining the health of tens of thousands of patients in the Pacific Northwest. I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes to see him at my appointment times and he has helped me immensely in several critical situations that required rapid diagnosis, therapy, and referral for hospitalizations. He literally has saved my career in medicine by his superlative diagnostic abilities and his quick action plans for my care. I probably would not be alive today without his excellent professionalism and care. Dr. Pouw, I owe you my career and my life as well. Thank you.

I am a surgeon here in the Pacific Northwest. Dr. Pouw has been my doctor for 15 years. Dr. Pouw has many doctors that are his patients. As a matter of fact, he is known as "The Doctors Doctor". If I had to, I would travel any distance to see Dr. Pouw as he is such a good Internist. His is very intelligent, a flawless diagnostician, and he is compassionate, and thorough in his care of patients. He understands the unique challenges of taking care of other doctors. He is very accommodating, easy to talk to, and has a great sense of humor. I also refer my patients to Dr. Pouw and they uniformly love him as a doctor. I have never once received any complaints from any of the patients that I have referred to him and I have referred over 200 patients to him over the last 15 years. He has saved the lives of countless patients that I can personally attest to. Thank you Dr. Pouw for your years of service to the Olympia community and for all the sacrifices that you have had to make to… accomplish all of the good you have done for others.

Absolutely the worst administration office in medicine!!! I made an appointment for a Monday at 4:00 P.M. I called to confirm the appointment time and was asked to print something on line and to bring it along to my appointment. AT 3:55 P.M. while driving to the appointment a woman from the office called me on my cell phone and asked If I would be willing to reschedule my appointment because I was the last appointment of the day and they wanted to leave early. I was very pleasant and told them no problem. I rescheduled the appointment with them on that call for Wednesday at the same time at their request! Today my schedule did not allow me the flexibility that I had on Monday and called to reschedule and was told since I had cancelled twice that would not book an appointment for me. So much for trying to accommodate people who wanted to leave early one day. I would never recommend this doctors office to anyone EVER. Notice the trend on comments?

I first heard of Dr Pouw when he diagnosed a coworker/friend with cancer that 3 local physicians had missed. I immediately transferred my care and have never been disappointed in the care, service, and recommendations from Dr. Pouw. He is thorough, kind, understanding, and truly listens which is rare in the medical field these days with all the health care contracting limitations/requirements placed on physicians. I will continue referring others to Dr. Pouw as all people deserve an intelligent, competent, and caring health care provider.

Lots of complaining about the healthcare system, saying that people are lost in the system, that specialists do not communicate with him and the cost of doing business is high. Otherwise, "poor me."

Horrible front staff. Very unprofessional, rude and even disgusting to patients when there is a question about the bill. I wish I can give them zero star.

I am a new patient who had sought out good Internist. Very pleased to have had Dr. Pouw recommended to me. I've never been to any doctor who went over my medical history I submitted - line by line. Top Notch.
