Dr. Tobi Nicole Thaller, MD

I am so grateful Dr. Tobi N. Thaller has come to our community! Finally, a doctor who listens and offers her undivided attention to me. I feel I am finally in good hands with her guidance.

She takes the time to answer questions in a way that is understandable to the layperson. She is never too busy to listen and she hears what the patient is saying. She's never dismissive. She has a refreshing attitude and I can tell she really cares.

I have total confidence in Dr. Thaller. She is a good listener as well as a competent and thorough Doctor. She helped me with my health issues while letting me be a part of the decision-making process. She is a compassionate Doctor with a great sense of humor. She is my favorite Doctor! I recommend her to my family and friends.

Dr. Thaller is a compassionate, kind and very knowledgeable provider. I'm so glad I found her. A nurse-practitioner in Ocean Park, who I saw several times, couldn't figure out what was wrong with me, gave me poor advice and ended up telling me I was a hypochondriac. Several people in the area recommended Dr. Thaller. When I called, her nurse said her practice was full, but upon hearing my symptoms and concerns, she asked Dr. Thaller if she could see me. Dr. Thaller made room for me in her schedule the next week, over her lunch hour. After giving me a very thorough exam and reviewing my charts, Dr. Thaller suspected a mass in my throat and immediately set me up with x-rays and an MRI scan. The scans confirmed I had some kind of growth wrapped around my thyroid. I panicked! Dr. Thaller assured me it could be benign, but it needed to be looked at and removed. She set up appointments for me at OHSU in Portland. After the doctors there saw my scans and MRI, they examined me and promptly… ordered a biopsy. It turned out to be a benign but fast-growing tumor that needed to come out immediately. Only one surgeon even dared operate, as it was a very complex surgery, and the tumor threatened to close off my throat. A week later, the tumor was gone and I was healing nicely from the surgery. I will always be grateful to Dr. Thaller. She is amazing!
