Dr. Tod Mathew Haller, MD

I have had a terrible experience with this practice. Exams are decent but lord help you if you need to contact the practice for questions or concerns- like medication reactions, forms to be filled out, etc you can forget it. The staff does not follow through on anything. I needed an important form filled out before the end of the year. I can’t afford my eye drops and have been able to get at no cost. The company faxed Dr. Haller twice, called him once. I emailed, send a letter with instructions directly to him, walked into the office and hand-delivered a “confidential” form and instructions (so that it would get into his hands.) The company only receive an unsigned prescription- nothing else. So now it’s the end of the year and because it wasn’t recertified by Dr. Haller, I will no longer be able to afford my medication. Dr. Haller has plenty of time to post daily videos on Instagram but no time to follow up with patients. I have never received a response from him or his staff ??

Dr. Haller is the best doctor ever, not just with eyes. He is brilliant, kind, funny and professional. I am so upset he left Astoria to work in the Bronx instead. Big loss for our community

My name is Gurcan Enginarlar. I visited Dr Tod once and he was very good. Unfortunately the staff is careless. 3 weeks ago, I had an invitation from his clinic saying it is time for my yearly eye exam. I have full coverage once a year by Aetna. I called the clinic just to confirm. And I was told that my insurance would cover. However when I get there they told me that I had to pay $40 copay. I am sure they didn't even check if I had a coverage. This was unexceptionable!

I can't say enough. What a brilliant, funny, interesting and wonderful human being. We need more doctors like him

I was seeing double, and Dr. Todd examined me. He told me that I likely have a brain aneurism, even though I didn't have any headaches or anything. He urged me to go to the emergency room, even though I didnt want to and I thought he was overanxious, and so I did a few days later. I only went, because the double vision didnt get better. I brought the letter he gave me. They immediately gave me an MRI which showed an eneurism. They rushed me into surgery and fixed it. 2 days later my double vision was gone. They said if it ruptured I would be dead. Thank goodness. I owe Dr. Todd my life.

For anyone looking for an excellent eye Doctor Dr Todd Haller is the best. The reviews speak for themselves. I am a patient of Dr Haller and he has state of the art equipment for a thorough eye exam, He has a good sense of humor, makes his patients feel comfortable, he’s knowledgeable about medical issues & in some reviews saved lives .Thats how I found him through reading reviews so check him out for yourself you will not regret.

He is incredible..

Dr. Haller was incredibly kind and gentle with my children and with my elderly mother. I don't care what anyone says about them, they are brilliant, kind, and extremely skilled at what they do. There is a reason why every single doctor in the area sends their patients to the Dr. Hallers. I have never seen any rudeness or negativity from the doctors or staff. I have been multiple times and have only seen patients being rude to the staff, but not the other way around. It is amazing what they know and how their bedside manner is superb.

Dr. Todd is incredible! By looking in my eyes he diagnosed me with a condition called Myasthenia Gravis. Who even heard of that? I had trouble breathing and walking for 8 years and no one could find out why. Dr. Todd looked in my eyes, did the blood test and it was positive. Now that I'm being treated for MG, I can breath and walk again! He literally gave me my life back. Brilliant and knowledgeable doctor. Amazing staff. I love him!

He is knowledable, thorough, funny and sweet. I highly recommend.
