Dr. Benia grew up and received his diploma from Hickman High School in Columbia, Missouri in 1979. Dr. Benia then attended the University of Missouri, where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry with honors. He completed his dental studies and obtained his DMD from Washington University School of Dental Medicine in St. Louis, MO, in 1986. After graduation he completed his residency program at the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dentistry. He received his certificate (C.G.A.D.) as well as a Master's Degree in periodontics (M.Sc.D.) from Boston University in 1990. He also received his fellowship in implantology from International College of Oral Implantologist, I. C. O. I. He is an active member of the Northridge Hospital Medical Surgical staff.
Dr Benia has been selected as for inclusion in both The Guide to America's Top Dentists and The Best of the U.S. He is also certified for standard Proficiency Laser use since 1999.
