The patient billing practice is hard to understand. Patients that have insurance filed is accepted although, patients are expected to pay regardless, upon each visit. I often had to tell patient billing administrative assistant, I should have a credit, then I was told, no payment due. Patients get their EOB Statement explanation, per billing, and visit . I couldn’t understand why I never had any credits posted to my account, always had to tell patient representative. After calling my dental carrier to request dollar amount of payments made to Dr Blevins’ practice , plus reviewed with carrier, my payments paid to the practice , practice had to reimburse insurance carrier. I then received two checks for prior visits I had paid , one for $1200 and one for $800 plus. The payment expected at each visit without filing insurance first , initiated my determination to find a new dental practice. I am grading dental billing practice not , the dentist.
