Dr. Todd Alexander Bryant, MD

I recently had an aortic valve replacement which landed me back in my local hospital. Dr. Bryant was the on-call cardiologist and I appreciated the time, patience he took with me and the thoroughness that he spent explaining everything to me and answering all my questions. I ended up changing my cardiologist to this doctor because of his ability to share his in depth knowledge and the time and patience he always takes with me. I would highly recommend Dr. Bryant.

I took one of my close family member to Dr Bryant couple times. This doctor always seemed like he doesn’t care about the problems that the patient has. He even laughed when we explained to him the pain my relative was experiencing and said “this is due to your bad genetics” - this was his exact wording. He clearly lacks compassion, humanity and respect for others. For some reason he was always super rude to me (never understood why). After the third visit we decided to change the doctor. I was not going to write this review but I thought maybe someone else might have experienced something similar with this doctor and maybe this review could help someone.

Dr. Bryant unfortunately prescribed coreg for my family member who then subsequently developed myasthenia gravis. The prescription was one thing but then Dr. Bryant failed to identify the signs and symptoms of this illness which were quite obvious and not only failed to discontinue coreg (which aggravates this illness) but continued to increase her dose despite her misgivings and c/o's that the medication was making worse. He continued to assure that her c/o's had nothing to do with this medication. Eventually my family member deteriorated to the point where she could not even swallow her own saliva and suffered severe vision loss. She was admitted to the hospital in Myasthenic Crisis. All this developed right under Dr. Bryant's supervision. Today my family member continues to suffer from severe vision loss and has lost her ability to live independently. Each day is a struggle for her and many times she has wished for death as there is little hope for much more recovery.

Dr. Bryant used his expert medical training/experience and reasonable common sense in diagnosing and treating my condition. His appropriate professional actions saved my life. Even though he is extremely busy, he always gives me as much time as needed to make me feel at ease. He's terrific!
