Dr. Todd Allen Kuether, MD

This review isn't of the doctor himself as I wasn't ever able to make an appointment. No one ever answers the phone and after three weeks of phone tag, the receptionist hung up on me and when I called back gave serious attitude. This is an office that depends on what my MRI says, may be cutting my body open. It's terrifying and having someone, your first point of contact, to be so rude is unsettling. So Dr. Kuether, I am sure you are a good surgeon but I never got to meet you. It's been a month and a half since my MRI and I hope to find out what is going on soon.

Is a really good surgeon and knows wgat is needed he will not offer surgery if it’s not needed listens to your questions

I fell disintegrating my L1 disc. Dr. Kuether did the surgery, textbook perfect, to replace the disc with a titanium cage and fused it to T12 to L2. I was walking with in a couple days, home after 8 days, off heavy pain meds 9 days later. Thank you Dr Kuether for making it possible to get my life back!

Doing good after diagnosis with a brain tumor 6 months ago and surgery!

Dr Kuether did surgery on my bak 2yrs ago after being refereed to him by another dr. He was friendly and I was pain free soon after my surgery. Undoubtably he is in my mind the best neurosurgeon!! Unfortunately this was not to be my last back surgery. He is getting ready to preform my next back surgery very soon, like in a week and again I understand it won't be my last HOWEVER he is the ONLY surgeon I will have operate on my back. He also told me he had the same surgery that he preformed on me 2yrs ago so I felt comfortable knowing he understood my back pain!!!

I went to see Dr Kuether when I was out of options and he was my last hope. I have had 2 different appointments with him so far. The first appt left me wondering if i agreed with his statements the follow up appointment totally changed my opnion. I left the 2nd appointment sure he knew what he was wanting to do and completly satisfied I was making the right choices chosing him as my surgeon for my upcoming complicated surgery. He left me sure and confident.

I was late for my appointment, but was squeezed in and am happy for that. Was not impressed by his arrogant manner concerning my condition. Completely called into question specialist in the field for my condition saying that they were not needed. Went on to downplay my specific condition as being a rather regular thing to find, but when pressed for numbers admitted that he had only seen one patient (last year) with the condition. When asked what happened with that patient, he did not know. Wow, how self assuming can you get? It's a real shame, as he seemed like a nice guy. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone. Did not appreciate the use of the internet to research my condition and then inferred that the symptoms such as pain was in a person's head and not for real. Wow! Too bad that we have Doc's like this.
