Dr. Todd Kerkman Love, MD

I saw this guy in the ED and was treated very poorly, to say the least. He does not listen to the "customer's" needs; therefore, inaccurately diagnosed me. Because of that, I spent 2 unnecessary weeks in the hospital. When I told him I was working on my PhD, he laughed in my face and patted me on the head. He's rude, and does not add to what North Memorial claims to be.

I was lucky to end up with Dr. Love when I was seen at the ER over a year ago for Dvt/pulmonary embolism and complications. He was thorough, kind, put me at ease and clearly knew his stuff. I was hospitalized and he followed up with me when he was out hiking with his family in order to answer questions for me and put my mind at ease. I've had some bad medical experiences in the past through a different medical system and get nervous going to the doctor, he is the person who helped renew my faith in doctors. Truly a fantastic doctor and a fantastic person.

Went to see him with a family member. Dr. Love was asked for his opinion on medications he had prescribed. Instead of giving his opinion, he made demands of the patient. He was also rather insensitive. He would be “ok” to see for a common medical illness in my opinion.

Dr. Love thinks that one size fits all. He does not take into consideration underlying chronic illness which requires treating that patient with a different approach to patient health. In other words if a patient has Llupus he does not alter advice, but instead uses the advice he would give to a patient who does not have underlying chronic illness. What may be good advice for most of his patients could be very detrimental for a patient with chronic disease.
