Dr. Todd McNiff, MD, MSP

Had a terrible experience today. I have been going to Dr McNiff as my PCP for the past couple years and I woke up this morning with an issue that I wanted to see the doctor for. I was told by the staff he had no open appointments this week and the first appointment was with a PA at 11. With the severity of the reaction I had I didn’t want to wait that long to see someone and all I was told was that he’s a primary care doctor so he doesn’t keep open sick appointments. Other doctors I’ve had in the past hold some open spots for their sick patients when needed, so that doesn’t seem like a valid reason. When I told this to the person on the phone, she hung up on me. Extremely rude and dangerous, what if my issue turned out to be more severe? I ended up having to go to urgent care, which I am not a fan of those places and would prefer to see a doctor who knows my history. Very disappointing as I’ve had only but good experiences to this point. Looks like I will have to find a new PCP.

If you want a doctor and a staff that cares about you as a real person, you want to see Dr Mcniff. He takes the time you need to get to know your problems and does not hesitate to recommends specialists if he think you need them. You cannot go wrong here.

Todd isn't my doctor anymore, but he was for nearly three years when I lived in New York. I've found a good doctor here, but no doctor will ever beat Todd. He listens and empathizes, he makes you feel better than you did when you came in, he likes hard cases, and he establishes personal connections. He cares. I've written Todd better reviews on Yelp!, but I'm writing about him and was looking for pictures to check his eye color, and Vitals prompted me to evaluate him; I like to give Todd all the stars every chance I get, so I thought I'd go ahead and give him a fourth or fifth good review (he's that good, which also makes him somewhat hard to get in with these days, as I understand it, but he's a lovely person and a wonderful, intelligent, curious person whom you should feel privileged to see (he'll say it's his privilege to see you, and he means it--he's invested in his patients--but he'll always have patients; you won't always have a Todd McNiff).

Dr McNiff, Dr Godwin, Sheila, Ethan and Sara are an awesome team. I have a complicated and rare immune deficiency with lots of frills- and I can rest easy, finally- after years of issues with doctors; knowing I have Mohawk Medical on my side. If i get a weird lung infection, or need to see a dr, I just pick up the phone or email Either doctor. The front staff- Ethan, Sheila and Sara, are equally amazing, making sure insurance, scripts, appointments and issues are under control. The doctors actually call you for the results; email you- and treat you like a human being that knows their body. I have been to so many doctors- hundreds and hundreds. I will never leave this team!

Dr. Todd McNiff, Dr. Samer Kottiech and all staff work to improve the health of their patients with true vocation. Their attitude is friendly and respectful. It is remarkable how quickly you report the results of blood tests by email, by phone or via their website with explanation. His office is comfortable and clean. All elements carefully sanitized. Thanks Dr. McNiff! I recommend him, he is excellent professional and human being.

Dr. McNiff is easily the best doctor I have seen in the 8 years I've been living in NYC, and I have shopped around. Everything on his website it true - he is prompt, personable, thorough, and willing to find any information he may not know immediately.Todd is the first Dr. I've seen in my life that doesn't make me feel like I am an inconvenience. I was never rushed, all of my questions were answered, and he personally handled all aspects of my visit including vitals and drawing blood.I would HIGHLY recommend this doctor to anyone seeking a new PCP.
