Dr. Todd Thang Nguyen, MD

I recently had my first experience with Dr. Nguyen. I was scheduled for a physical exam, however when I arrived they denied me that exam simply because it was my first visit, however they demanded a payment over $100 up front just to talk to the doctor. When I asked why (is it their policy, the insurances policy, etc?) they gave me a vague response and said that if I talk to the doctor about anything, anything at all, that I had to pay this amount just because it was my first visit. I was so desperate to have a checkup that I payed first and asked questions later. I was escorted to one of the rooms and the nurse I spoke with was friendly, professional, and thorough. When Dr. Nguyen entered the room and we got past introductions, I went on to explain some of my concerns and he was extremely dismissive and arrogant. He acted like I didn't know anything I was talking about concerning an uncommon condition I have, even though I know for a fact that I've received factual and accurate… information regarding it. I tried a couple times to word it differently, thinking maybe he misunderstood me, and each time he arrogantly interrupted me like I was some sort of uneducated simpleton. As if that wasn't bad enough, he basically told me I was lazy and making up excuses as to why I wasn't exercising enough. Had he given me the opportunity to fill him in on what's going on--he would have known I've had previous injuries, chronic pain and pinched nerves that make conventional exercise dangerous, painful, and exhausting for me. We could have discussed alternatives to give me similar results with more personalized methods, but instead he blew me off. In the end, I didn't receive the treatment I was scheduled for, and I payed over $100 to get some blood drawn and be completely insulted by this person. This was the worst possible experience I could have had with my first male doctor, and not only will I never return to this facility, but this experience will most likely prevent me from seeing another male doctor ever again.

Great staff and Doctor takes time with you explaining any problems and solutions.

Todd, who takes medicare patients, unlike many doctors in the Metroplex) stays very busy. However, his staff makes sure that the paitient is taken care of, until the Todd can see you. He is caring, takes his time, and makes excellent diagnosis of reason for going to his office. In his office is Dr. Phan-Esperanza who is also an excellent pain specialist. I would highly recommend Dr. Nguyen.

Long wait times, prescribe meds I CANNOT take (dangerous), rude and only interested in pushing me to affiliated 'pain' clinic, no patience or interest in resolving SOURCE of pain, only want to drug patients

My husband and I are patients of Dr. Nguyen and we both think very highly of him. He is a very kind, thoughtful person and a very good doctor. He is very personalble and seems to really care about people. We highly reccomend him!

I am over sixty years old and have have many doctors during my life time, but I have never meet such a smart, kind and honest Dr. like Dr. Nguyen. He make me feel like he really really care about my well been and he always make sure that I understand what is happening to me. I really feel bless to have him as my doctor. I just wish the rest of my doctors are as good as Dr. Todd Nguyen. Thank you Dr. Nguyen and God bless you.

He cares, he listens and he takes the steps to correct the problems. I truely believe I would not be in the good health that I am today without his care!
