Dr. Todd Lewis Paxton, DO

We had a good doctor patient relationship. He's been my doctor since he started at Zion Clinic. He treats my husband as well. He spent a couple hours on his day off discussing my husbands heart and stroke issues with us. I don't want another doctor.

Scheduled appointment a month ago. I came 10 minutes early for my appointment, waited over an hour to be seen, was not seen, After asking the receptionist staff twice, they finally told me a timeframe, I'd have to wait at least another 40 minutes. I left since I had to get to work. Worst experience I've ever had at Aurora!!!

Dr. Paxton is great!

EXTREMELY long wait, total time 2 hours from sign in to exit. Total time in the room with me, 5 minutes.Attempts to listen, only to look at this watch and yawn when explaining your problems. Condescending and rude sometimes. Takes offense to questions as if his intelligence is being questioned.VERY Thin Skinned, and does whatever he wants regardless of what you attempt to explain.Stubborn would be putting it mildly, needs to listen more often. Eventually he does what you ask after 3 more visits & then he has a "miraculous" idea (same suggestion you gave 2 visits ago)to help with your problem.Had to have another Doctor explain how to use medication that he could not figure out himself that was going to be administered to me. Nice to know he does not know much about new(er) medicine delivery options.There are other Docs. in the building, go to ANY of them first.

I thoroughly enjoy seeing Dr Paxton. He listens to all my concerns and is someone I am not at all shy about expressing my thoughts. Although I wish he was available at the moment I walked in, I understand that he needs to take time with others just like he takes time with me.

A very good MD. He has always had the time to answer questions. Even some that might not be directly related to the visit. Anyone should be happy to be in his care.

I was a patient of Dr. Paxton's for 3 years. I found him patient and considerate. Always willing to listen to my complaints. Bedside manner was great.

I've been seeing Paxton for several years, and he always seemed caring. He has a sense of humor. He always addressed all issues asked, no matter how small. My most recent visit, however, will be my last visit. He yawned through the entire appointment, saying I was keeping him from his nap. He jokes about this now and again, but he seemed serious this time and the yawning was evidence. I have a very common repetitive stress injuries for which he couldn't "think of anything" to tell me to do. He only addressed two of my five issues and brushed off the others.

I have been seeing this doctor at Zion Clinic in Zion, IL, for a few years now. I inherited him when my previous doctor moved out of state. He is one of the most caring doctors I have ever met. He listens to everything and addresses every concern and does not brush off things he may not think are important. Because of this, he does run late. He listens to each patient and addresses each concern. I always am prepared to wait by playing a game on my phone or having reading material with me, and I am willing to wait to get that kind of care and attention to detail. I have never been willing to wait for any other doctor. With the help of his referral staff and his nurse, everything is followed up on. Requests for prescription refills and answers to questions are responded to promptly.

If you have 2 hours to wait, and don't mind sub standard diagnosis and attitude, then this is the Doctor for you.Snide, rude, and does not listen very well. Does not take your comments serious.Extremely LONG waiting time in the the waiting, and in the examining room.
