Dr. Todd Mitchell Rice, MD

Dr. Rice was rude, misinformed and made no effort to help. Went to the ER in unrelenting pain and he clearly thought I was looking for narcotics. My chart shows I'm allergic because I can't tolerate most opiates. Pinched nerve in my neck, said I needed an MRI, but wouldn't get one - ? Very brief exam, no suggestions of what to do, contradicted information on the sheet I was given when discharge. Gave me a prescription for cough medicine! No help for the pain. I can't believe NCH keeps him on staff as his reviews are uniformly awful. Of course I had no choice and will get a huge bill for no help at all.

Dr. Rice was so rude to my friend.he all but accused him if being a drug addict..said he couldnt help him..we left NCH wenr home to georgia,found he did have a fracture of his ankle..dr rice didnt even order an xray .he said it would cost too much money.after reading these reviews,i hope he never needs er care !

I can't even begin to describe this man. He is a disgrace to the medical profession..he his condescending, rude, disrespectful, completely unprofessional. He does not deserve to carry the title DR. He was in the ER, was assigned to access my complaints. And came up with the diagnosis "there is NOTHING wrong with you" must be his go to diagnosis, he said the same thing to another patient... mr rice, if you don't want to care for people, go work at walmart...Oh mr rice....there was something wrong, no thanks to you!

Dr Todd Rice should not be a doctor. I live by Physicians Regional but have always preferred NCH. It is typically quick and we like the doctors in the ER. However, Dr. Rice is horrific. He made my son cry. He actually told my son he was not sick. One week later my son was diagnosed with Addison's disease, dysautonomia or POTS, and low cortisol. I was shocked and appalled at his bedside manner. I am shocked that NCH would even keep such an ignorant doctor on staff. I will never forget how I was treated and that in his own report he stated my son didn't look ill. Well he was wrong and maybe needs to go back to med school.

DR RICE WAS SO PROFESSIONAL , UNDERSTANDING , AND KNEW EXACTLY WHAT TO DO IN MY TIME OF NEED. HE MADE ME FEEL VERY CALM AND EXPLAINED EVERYTHING TO ME. HE EVEN RECOMMENDED A NEPHROLOGIST FOR ME . I WOULD DEFINATELY RECOMMEND DR TODD RICE . I WISH HE WOULD OPEN HIS OWN PRACTICE .

I found Dr. Rices attitude bordering on rude. He all but accused my wife, who is sixty three years old and in poor health of "Drug Shopping". He also lectured her about her request for a further medical diagnosis for a back injury because she is on Medicare and disabled. Asking "If you had to spend two thousand dollars would you still request a Cat Scan?" He just doesn't fit in the North Naples Community Hospital health care system, where we had received excellent and complete care from their staff during prior visits.
